Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan digital storytelling dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris sebagai sarana pengajaran karakter siswa pada kelas ekstrakurikuler bahasa Inggris di SMPN 1 Cilacap. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan fokus pada proses pelaksanaan dan pengaruhnya terhadap aspek karakter siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaplikasian digital storytelling membantu siswa memahami nilai-nilai moral seperti empati, tanggung jawab, dan rasa hormat. Hal tersebut terlihat dari perubahan perilaku siswa dan refleksi selama kegiatan pembelajaran. Digital storytelling juga terbukti menarik dan bagus dalam membangun karakter siswa, ditandai dengan peningkatan kesadaran mereka terhadap isu-isu etika dan kemampuan mereka dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang potensi digital storytelling sebagai media yang mendukung pengembangan karakter dalam pembelajaran bahasa. |

This study aims to examine the use of digital storytelling in English learning as a means of teaching students' character in extracurricular English classes at SMPN 1 Cilacap. The approach used was qualitative, focusing on the application process and its influence on aspects of students' character. Data were collected through observation. The results showed that the use of digital storytelling helped students understood moral values such as empathy, responsibility, and respect. This was evident from changes in student behavior and reflection during learning activities. Digital storytelling was also proven to be interesting and good in teaching students' character, marked by an increase in their awareness of ethical issues and their ability to interact with others. This study provided an overview of the potential of digital storytelling as a media that supported character development in language learning. |
