| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Teknik pukulan dalam tenis meja dapat digolongkan menjadi berbagai macam teknik dasar, salah satunya adalah pukulan backhand drive. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan beberapa mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan backhand drive yang tidak sama, ada yang baik juga terdapat yang masih kurang. Hal ini terindikasi kurangnya kemampuan teknik dasar yang mereka kuasai terbukti saat melakukan pukulan bola justru menyangkut di net ataupun masih terlalu tinggi. Hal ini tentu perlu perhatian untuk melihat hubungan variabel yang dapat mengindentifikasi dan membantu dalam menangani kemampuan backhand drive dalam tenis meja. Metodologi: Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan korelasional dengan desain crossectional. Populasi adalah mahasiswa pendidikan jasmani angkatan 2023 dengan jumlah sampel 60 anggota. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah pearson corellation dan uji korelasi ganda. Hasil Penelitian: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecepatan reaksi dengan backhand drive tenis meja sebesar 3,3%. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara koordinasi mata-tangan dengan backhand drive tenis meja sebesar 72,4%. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara footwork dengan backhand drive tenis meja sebesar 5,4%. Kecepatan reaksi, koordinasi mata-tangan, dan footwork secara bersama sama memberikan kontribusi terhadap backhand drive tenis meja sebesar 81,1% Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara kecepatan reaksi, koordinasi mata-tangan, dan footwork dengan backhand drive tenis meja Kata Kunci: Tenis meja, backhand drive, kecepatan reaksi, koordinasi mata-tangan, dan footwork |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Stroke techniques in table tennis can be classified into various basic techniques, one of which is the backhand drive. Based on the results of observations, some students have backhand drive abilities that are not the same, some are good and some are still lacking. This is indicated by the lack of basic technical skills that they mastered, as evidenced when hitting the ball, the ball was caught at the net or still too high. This certainly needs attention to see the relationship between variables that can identify and assist in handling the ability of the backhand drive in table tennis. Methodology: This quantitative research uses a correlational approach with a crossectional design. The population was 2023 physical education students with a sample size of 60 members. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. This research data analysis uses prerequisite tests and hypothesis tests. The hypothesis test used is pearson corellation and multiple correlation test. Results: There is a significant relationship between reaction speed and table tennis backhand drive by 3.3%. There is a significant relationship between eye-hand coordination and backhand drive table tennis by 72.4%. There is a significant relationship between footwork and backhand drive table tennis by 5.4%. Reaction speed, eye-hand coordination, and footwork together contribute to the backhand drive of table tennis by 81.1%. Conclusion: There is a relationship between reaction speed, eye-hand coordination, and footwork with table tennis backhand drive.
