| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Ayam bibit merupakan ayam induk yang menghasilkan telur tetas untuk mendapatkan day old chick (DOC) yang unggul dan berkualitas. Kualitas telur mempengaruhi bobot DOC dan kualitas DOC yang akan ditetaskan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh strain Cobb dan strain Ross ayam breeding terhadap indeks dan bobot telur di PT Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Unit 3 Semarang Tegal. Materi yang digunakan adalah masing-masing 700 butir telur dari strain Cobb dan strain Ross pada umur ayam minggu ke 33-34. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah random sampling. Data indeks dan bobot telur diolah secara matematik dan analisis secara deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh kemudian ditabulasikan ke dalam tabel dengan rumus rata-rata dan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan strain mempengaruhi indeks dan bobot telur ayam breeding di PT Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm 3 Unit Semarang Tegal. Strain Cobb memiliki nilai rata-rata indeks telur sebesar 76% (normal/oval) dengan bobot rata-rata 64 g, sedangkan strain Ross memiliki rata-rata indeks telur sebesar 78% (lonjong) dengan bobot rata-rata 61 g |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Breeder chickens are parent chickens that produce hatching eggs to obtain superior and quality day old chick (DOC). Egg quality affects the weight of DOC and the quality of DOC that will be hatched. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Cobb strain and Ross strain of breeding chickens on egg index and weight at PT Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Unit 3 Semarang Tegal. The material used was 700 eggs of Cobb strains and Ross strains each at the age of 33-34 weeks. The research method used was the survey method. The sampling used in this study was random sampling. Data on index and egg weight were processed mathematically and analyzed descriptively. The 4 data obtained were then tabulated into a table with the average formula and T test. The results showed that different strains affect the index and egg weight of breeding chickens at PT Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm 3 Unit Semarang Tegal. Cobb strain has an average egg index value of 76% (normal/oval) with an average weight of 64 g, while Ross strain has an average egg index of 78% (oval) with an average weight of 61 g. |
