Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian vitamin D3 terhadap
Ketebalan Kerabang dan Haugh Unit Telur ayam Arab. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada
tanggal 1 Juni sampai 30 September 2023 di Ketapang Farm Sokaraja dan Laboratorium
Produksi Ternak Unggas, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto.
Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap
(RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan, setiap unit kandang berisi dua ekor ayam Arab.
Perlakuan yang berpengaruh dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Perlakuan yang
diberikan yaitu
P0 = pakan kontrol,
P1 = pakan disuplementasi vitamin D3 900 IU/kg pakan,
P2 = pakan disuplementasi vitamin D3 1350 IU/kg pakan,
P3 = pakan disuplementasi vitamin D3 1800 IU/kg pakan,
P4 = pakan disuplementasi vitamin D3 2250 IU/kg pakan, dan
P5 = pakan disuplementasi vitamin D3 2700 IU/kg pakan.
Hasil ketebalan kerabang dan haugh unit secara berturut-turut yaitu P0 0,40±0,03 mm dan
85,37±13,09, P1 0,39±0,02 mm dan 85,48±12,56, P2 0,39±0,04 mm dan 78,73±1,78, P3
0,38±0,02 mm dan 85,83±12,42, P4 0,39±0,02 mm dan 77,70±1,96, dan P5 0,40±0,05 dan
92,35±14,55. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi vitamin D3 ke dalam
pakan ayam Arab berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap ketebalan kerabang dan
haugh unit ayam Arab. Suplementasi vitamin D3 dengan dosis 900 IU sampai dengan 2700
IU menghasilkan ketebalan kerabang dan haugh unit yang relatif sama.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)This study aims to examine the effect of giving vitamin D3 on the Thickness of the
Shell and Haugh Unit of Arabian Chicken Eggs. This research was carried out from 1 June to
30 September 2023 at Ketapang Farm Sokaraja and Poultry Production Laboratory, Faculty
of Animal Husbandry, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The research was carried
out using an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6
treatments and 4 replications, each cage unit containing two Arabian chickens. The effective
treatment is continued with the Honestly Significant Difference Test (BNJ). The treatments
given were
P0 = control feed,
P1 = feed supplemented with vitamin D3 900 IU/kg feed,
P2 = feed supplemented with vitamin D3 1350 IU/kg feed,
P3 = feed supplemented with vitamin D3 1800 IU/kg feed,
P4 = feed supplemented with vitamin D3 2250 IU/kg feed, and
P5 = feed supplemented with vitamin D3 2700 IU/kg feed.
The results of shell thickness and haugh unit respectively were P0 0.40 ± 0.03 mm and 85.37
± 13.09, P1 0.39 ± 0.02 mm and 85.48 ± 12.56, P2 0, 39 ± 0.04 mm and 78.73 ± 1.78, P3 0.38
± 0.02 mm and 85.83 ± 12.42, P4 0.39 ± 0.02 mm and 77.70 ± 1.96 , and P5 0.40 ± 0.05 and
92.35 ± 14.55. The results of analysis of variance showed that vitamin D3 supplementation
into Arabian chicken feed had no significant effect (P>0.05) on shell thickness and haugh
unit of Arabian chickens. Vitamin D3 supplementation at a dose of 900 IU to 2700 IU
produces relatively similar shell thickness and haugh units.
