Kata Kunci : Pergeseran kategori, Frase Kata Benda, Teknik Penerjemahan, Teori Catford dan Molina dan Albir, Film Frozen Penelitian ini menyelidiki Pergeseran Kategori Frasa Kata Benda dan Teknik Penerjemahannya yang digunakan oleh dua karakter film Frozen Elsa dan Anna. Ada dua masalah yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini. Yaitu (1) Apa saja jenis pergeseran kategori frase nomina yang ditemukan pada subtitle film “Frozen” Berdasarkan teori yang dikemukakan oleh Catford (1965) dan (2) Bagaimana teknik yang digunakan dalam subtitling film “Frozen” dengan menggunakan Molina dan teori Albir (2002). Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, karena data dianalisis dan diuraikan dalam bentuk kata dan kalimat. Data diambil dari percakapan yang diucapkan oleh dua karakter Film Frozen. Kemudian, data tersebut diidentifikasi dan dianalisis berdasarkan jenis pergeseran kategori frasa nomina berdasarkan teori Catford (1965). Selanjutnya data dianalisis berdasarkan teori Teknik Penerjemahan yang dikemukakan oleh Molina dan Albir (2002). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga jenis pergeseran kategori frasa nomina film Frozen, yaitu pergeseran struktur, pergeseran kelas, dan pergeseran intra sistem. Keywords: Category Shift, Noun Phrases, Translation Techniques, Catford and Molina and Albir Theory, Frozen Movie This research investigated Category Shift Of Noun Phrases and Its Translation Techniques used by two characters Elsa and Anna of Frozen movie. There were two problems that analyzed in this research. They were (1) What kinds of category shift of noun phrase find in subtitle of movie “Frozen” Based on the theory proposed by Catford (1965) and (2) How techniques are used in the subtitling of movie “Frozen” by using Molina and Albir (2002) theory. In this research used qualitative descriptive, because the data were analyzed and described in the form of words and sentences. The data were taken from the conversation uttered by two characters of Frozen Movie. Then, the data were identified and analyzed based on the kinds of category shift of noun phrase based on Catford’s theory (1965). Furthermore, the data were analyzed based on Translation Techniques theory proposed by Molina and Albir (2002). The findings show that three kinds of category shift of noun phrases of Frozen movie, they are structure shift, class shift, and intra system shift. Its translation techniques are used six techniques, they are literal translation, established equivalence, borrowing, modulation, generalization, and variation. |
