| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Laporan kerja praktek ini berjudul ‘Creating Bilingual Information Leaflet of Purwokerto Station at PT KAI DAOP 5 Purwokerto’. Praktek kerja ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21 Agustus - 30 November 2023 di PT KAI DAOP 5 Purwokerto. Job training ini bertujuan untuk membuat leaflet informasi mengenai fasilitas yang tersedia di stasiun dan juga peraturan barang bawaan penumpang kereta api dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris. Dengan adanya leaflet ini diharapkan dapat menambah informasi yang dapat meningkatkan minat wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara untuk memilih kereta api sebagai moda transportasi. Dalam pelaksanaan kerja praktek, penulis menggunakan tiga metode yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Langkah pertama adalah observasi, penulis melakukan observasi terhadap informasi yang ada di stasiun Purwokerto untuk menentukan informasi yang paling sesuai untuk dimasukkan ke dalam leaflet. Langkah kedua adalah wawancara, wawancara dilakukan kepada pegawai dan penumpang untuk mengumpulkan data-data yang diperlukan. Langkah terakhir adalah dokumentasi. Dokumentasi dilakukan untuk mendapatkan foto-foto terbaik sebagai pendukung visual leaflet. penulis mengambil foto-foto stasiun Purwokerto, dimana foto-foto tersebut ditempatkan di dalam leaflet untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This job training report is entitled ‘Creating Bilingual Information Leaflet of Purwokerto Station at PT KAI DAOP 5 Purwokerto’. This job training was carried out on August 21 - November 30, 2023, at PT KAI DAOP 5 Purwokerto. This job training aims to create an information leaflet regarding the facilities available at the station and also the luggage rules for train passengers in Indonesian and English. This leaflet is expected to increase information which is expected to increase the interest of the local and foreign tourists in choosing the train as the mode of transportation. In the implementation of job training, the author uses three methods, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The first step is observation, the authors observe the information available at Purwokerto station to determine the most suitable information to include in the leaflet. The second step is an interview, interviews was conducted with employees and passengers to collect the necessary data. The last step is documentation. Documentation was conducted to get the best photos as visual support for the leaflet. the author took photos of Purwokerto station, where the images are placed in the leaflet to meet the information needs. During the leaflet creating process, the author encountered challenges, particularly in using graphic design software and sourcing reference materials. With limited experience in graphic design applications, finding suitable references for leaflet designs required significant effort. To overcome these obstacles, the author discovered Canva, a user-friendly design platform that simplified the design process with its intuitive interface. The author also explored various online and offline materials, such as brochures, posters, and flyers, analyzing different styles and layouts to incorporate best practices and innovative elements into the final design. This comprehensive approach ensured that the leaflet was both visually appealing and effective in conveying the intended information to the target audience. |
