| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Melon merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang memiliki prospek ekonomi cukup tinggi. Budidaya melalui sistem hidroponik dinilai dapat memberikan efisiensi dan peningkatan produksi jika diimbangi dengan penggunaan varietas unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui sistem hidroponik terbaik dan varietas melon terbaik bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman melon. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan November 2023 sampai dengan April 2024. di screenhouse Desa Pasir Kulon, Kecamatan Karanglewas, Kabupaten Banyumas dengan ketinggian lokasi 110 m dpl. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan petak terbagi dua faktorial dengan rancangan dasar Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap. Faktor pertama adalah sistem hidroponik yang terdiri dari S1 = dutch bucket dan S2 = irigasi tetes. Faktor kedua adalah varietas yang terdiri dari V1 = Golden Aroma, V2 = Rangipo, V3 = Sweet Net.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa parameter hasil terbaik dijumpai pada kombinasi sistem dutch bucket dan varietas Golden Aroma berupa tebal daging buah sebesar 3,3 cm dan total padatan terlarut 17.18° brix. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Melons are one of the horticultural commodities with a high economic prospect. Cultivation through hydroponic systems is considered to offer efficiency and increased production when combined with the use of superior varieties. This research aims to determine the best hydroponic system and the best melon variety for the growth and yield of melon plants. The study was conducted from November 2023 to April 2024 at the screenhouse in Pasir Kulon Village, Karanglewas District, Banyumas Regency, with an altitude of 110 meters above sea level. This research used a split-plot factorial design with a basic design of a Completely Randomized Block Design. The first factor is the hydroponic system, consisting of S1 = Dutch bucket and S2 = drip irrigation. The second factor is the variety, consisting of V1 = Golden Aroma, V2 = Rangipo, and V3 = Sweet Net. The results showed that the best yield parameters were found in the combination of the Dutch bucket system and the Golden Aroma variety, with fruit flesh thickness of 3.3 cm and total soluble solids of 17.18° Brix. |
