| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tanaman aren (Arrenga pinnata Merr) memiliki potensi besar di Indonesia untuk mengatasi degradasi lahan dan sebagai bahan baku gula serta bioetanol. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh biochar dan pupuk N-P-K terhadap pertumbuhan bibit tanaman aren dan sifat kimia tanah. Penelitian dilakukan di lahan percobaan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman dari Juli 2023 hingga Mei 2024, menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi dengan biochar dan pupuk N-P-K sebagai variabel. Biochar diaplikasikan dalam tiga dosis (B0 = tanpa biochar, B1 = 200 g/tanaman, B2 = 400 g/tanaman) dan pupuk N-P-K dalam tiga dosis (P0 = tanpa pupuk, P1 = 31,5 g/tanaman, P2 = 62,5 g/tanaman). Kombinasi perlakuan diulang tiga kali menghasilkan 54 unit tanaman. Pengukuran meliputi sifat kimia tanah (pH H2O, pH KCl, C-organik, N-total, P-total, K-total, dan KTK) serta pertumbuhan (tinggi dan diameter batang). Hasil analisis menunjukkan biochar dan pupuk N-P-K berpengaruh nyata terhadap pH H2O, P-total, dan K-total tanah. Namun, tidak berpengaruh nyata pada pH KCl, N-total, C-organik, dan KTK tanah. Pada variabel pertumbuhan, biochar dan pupuk N-P-K berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi dan diameter batang tanaman. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The sugar palm (Arrenga pinnata Merr) has significant potential in Indonesia for land degradation mitigation and as a source of sugar and bioethanol. This study aims to determine the effect of biochar and N-P-K fertilizer on the growth of sugar palm seedlings and soil chemical properties. The research was conducted at the experimental field of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman from July 2023 to May 2024, using a Split Plot Design with biochar and N-P-K fertilizer as variables. Biochar was applied in three doses (B0 = no biochar, B1 = 200 g/plant, B2 = 400 g/plant) and N-P-K fertilizer in three doses (P0 = no fertilizer, P1 = 31.5 g/plant, P2 = 62.5 g/plant). The treatment combinations were repeated three times, resulting in 54 plant units. Measurements included soil chemical properties (pH H2O, pH KCl, organic C, total N, total P, total K, and CEC) and growth parameters (height and stem diameter). Analysis results showed that biochar and N-P-K fertilizer significantly affected soil pH H2O, total P, and total K. However, there was no significant effect on soil pH KCl, total N, organic C, and CEC. In terms of growth parameters, biochar and N-P-K fertilizer significantly impacted the average height and stem diameter of the sugar palm seedlings. |
