| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mengetahui pengaruh jenis aktivator dengan media yang berbeda terhadap bahan kering dan bahan organik kompos berbahan baku feses sapi potong. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan A1 yaitu penambahan 0,3% aktivator media bekas jamur merang, A2 yaitu penambahan 0,3% aktivator media batuan, dan A3 yaitu penambahan 0,3% aktivator media cair yang masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak 6 kali, sehingga diperoleh 18 unit percobaan. Hasil analisis Repeated Measures Analysis of Variance (RMA) menunjukkan bahwa waktu pengamatan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01), tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) pada tiga perlakuan serta interaksi antara waktu pengamatan dan perlakuan terhadap bahan kering kompos berbahan baku feses sapi potong. Rataan bahan kering kompos pada saat awal pembuatan kompos atau minggu ke-0 pada perlakuan A1, A2, dan A3 secara berurutan yaitu 30,9%, 23,24%, dan 26,47%, sedangkan minggu ke-1 yaitu 39,74%, 35,94%, 37,74%, minggu ke 2 yaitu 37,06%, 35,85%, 33,65%, dan minggu ke-3 yaitu 48,65%, 51,56%, 47,79%. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa penambahan aktivator dengan media yang berbeda pada pembuatan kompos berbahan baku feses sapi potong berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kadar bahan organik kompos. Kadar bahan organik diakhir pengomposan pada perlakuan A1, A2, dan A3 secara berurutan yaitu 31,27%, 28,12%, dan 27,66%. Penambahan aktivator dengan media yang berbeda dalam pembuatan kompos berbahan baku feses sapi potong menghasilkan kadar bahan kering paling baik pada penambahan aktivator dengan media batuan serta kadar bahan organik terendah dan sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia diperoleh dari penambahan aktivator dengan media cair. Penambahan aktivator dengan media batuan paling efektif dalam menghasilkan bahan kering dan bahan organik kompos berbahan baku feses sapi potong.

Inggris) | The research aims to examine and determine the effect of different types of activators with various media on the dry matter and organic matter of compost made from beef cattle manure. This study uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments: A1, which is the addition of 0.3% activator with spent mushroom substrate; A2, the addition of 0.3% activator with rock media; and A3, the addition of 0.3% activator with liquid media. Each treatment is replicated 6 times, resulting in a total of 18 experimental units. The results of the Repeated Measures Analysis of Variance (RMA) indicated that the observation time had a highly significant effect (P<0.01), but there was no significant effect (P>0.05) of the three treatments or the interaction between observation time and treatment on the dry matter of compost made from beef cattle manure. The average dry matter of compost at the start of composting (week 0) for treatments A1, A2, and A3 was 30.9%, 23.24%, and 26.47% respectively, while at week 1 it was 39.74%, 35.94%, and 37.74%, at week 2 it was 37.06%, 35.85%, and 33.65%, and at week 3 it was 48.65%, 51.56%, and 47.79%. Analysis of variance showed that the addition of activators with different media had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the organic matter content of the compost. The organic matter content at the end of composting for treatments A1, A2, and A3 was 31.27%, 28.12%, and 27.66% respectively. The addition of activators with different media in the production of compost from beef cattle manure results in the highest dry matter content with the use of rock media, while the lowest organic matter content and compliance with the Indonesian National Standard are achieved with liquid media. The addition of an activator with rock media is most effective in producing dry matter and organic matter in compost made from beef cattle manure. |
