| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tumpangsari padi gogo-sereh terhadap pertumbuhan gulma, spesies gulma yang dominan dan varietas padi gogo yang menghasilkan produksi tinggi pada sistem tumpangsari padi gogo-sereh. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan tadah hujan di Desa Banjaranyar, Banyumas mulai Maret sampai September 2012. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi dengan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan petak utama yaitu petak yang ditanami sereh, dan tanpa sereh sedangkan anak petak yaitu varietas padi gogo terdiri atas, Situ Patenggang, Kalimutu, Danau Gaung dan Jatiluhur. Variabel yang diamati Summed Dominance Ratio (SDR), nilai kompetisi, bobot kering gulma total dan bobot gabah per petak. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa gulma yang dominan adalah jenis gulma daun lebar. Penanaman sereh sebagai tanaman tumpangsari mampu menurunkan kompetisi gulma terhadap padi gogo sebesar 56,75%. Penanaman sereh mampu menekan pertumbuhan gulma sebesar 33,36%, serta meningkatkan produksi padi gogo sebesar 39,55%. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The objective of this study were 1) to determine the effect of intercropping upland rice-lemon grass to the weed growth, 2) to determine the dominant weed species and 3) to determine upland rice varieties that produce high production of upland rice cropping systems-lemon grass. This study was conducted in rainfed area, village of Banjaranyar, District of Banyumas in March to September 2012. The design of experiment of Split Plot Design was applied wiht three replications. The main plot of lemon grass and no lemon grass, and sub plots of varieties viz, Situ Patenggang, Kalimutu, Danau Gaung and Jatiluhur were tested. Variable were observed on Summed Dominance Ratio (SDR), competition value and grain weight per plot. The result showed that the dominant weed was broad leaf weeds. Grown lemon grass in intercropped decreased weed competition on upland grass by 56.75%. Intercropped of upland rice-lemon grass decreased dry weight of weed 33.36%, but increased dry grain yield by 39.55%. |
