| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh suplementasi vitamin A dan mineral magnesium pada domba terhadap persentase karkas, daging dan luas urat daging mata rusuk. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan April –Juni 2023 di Jl. Suparto No. 22, Desa Kutasari Kecamatan Baturaden, Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah. Pakan yang diberikan berupa jerami padi amoniasi dan konsentrat dengan imbangan 25:75 berdasarkan bahan kering. Materi penelitian terdiri dari domba lokal jantan umur 7-8 bulan dengan bobot rata-rata 19,17 ± 2,35 kg sebanyak 18 ekor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Terdapat 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. *Perlakuan yang diuji yaitu P1= Jerami Padi Amoniasi (25%) + Pakan Konsentrat (75%); P2 = P1 + Vitamin A (2000 IU); P3 = P2 + Mineral Magnesium (1 mg). Variabel yang diukur adalah Persentase karkas, Persentase daging, dan Luas Urat Daging Mata Rusuk. *Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi vitamin A dan mineral magnesium dalam pakan berpengaruh sangat nyata (p<0,01) terhadap persentase karkas dan luas urat daging mata rusuk namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase daging. Hasil rataan pengukuran persentase karkas P1 42,14±1,38 %; P2 40,42±1,67%; dan P3 43,42±1,04%. Hasil rataan pengukuran persentase daging, P1 54,56±2,16%; P2 55,37±2,87%; dan P3 54,51±2,71%. Rataan Luas Urat Daging Mata Rusuk P1 40,83±0,93 mm2; P2 41,50±1,44 mm2; dan P3 49,50±1,87 mm2. Simpulan. Persentase karkas dan luas urat daging mata rusuk terbaik diperoleh pada domba yang mendapat campuran suplementasi vitamin A dan mineral megnesium. Namun persentase daging tidak dipengaruhi oleh suplementasi vitamin A dan mineral magnesium. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The research aims to examine the effect of vitamin A and magnesium mineral supplementation in sheep on the carcass percentage of meat and rib eye area. The study was carried out in April–June 2023 on Jl. Suparto No. 22, Kutasari Village, Baturaden District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. The feed given is ammoniated rice straw and concentrated in a ratio of 25:75 based on dry matter. The research material consisted of 18 local male sheep aged 7-8 months with an average weight of 19.17 ± 2.35 kg. The research method used was an experimental method with a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), there were 3 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments tested were P1 = Ammoniated Rice Straw (25%) + Concentrate Feed (75%); P2 = P1 + Vitamin A (2000 IU); P3 = P2 + Mineral Magnesium (1 mg). The variables measured were carcass percentage, meat percentage, and rib eye area. The results showed that supplementation of vitamin A and the mineral magnesium in feed had a very significant effect (p<0.01) on carcass percentage and rib eye area but had no significant effect on meat percentage. The average measurement of carcass percentage were P1 42.14 ± 1.38 %; P2 40.42±1.67%; and P3 43.42 ± 1.04%. The average measurement of meat percentage were P1 54.56 ± 2.16%; P2 55.37±2.87%; and P3 54.51±2.71%. Rib eye area were P1 40.83 ± 0.93 mm2; P2 41.50±1.44 mm2; and P3 49.50 ± 1.87 mm2. Conclusion. The best carcass percentage and rib eye area were obtained in sheep that received a mixture of vitamin A supplementation and the mineral magnesium. However, the meat percentage was not affected by vitamin A and magnesium mineral supplementation. |
