| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Culture Shock adalah respon negatif yang dialami seseorang ketika memasuki lingkungan baru yang berbeda dari sebelumnya. Culture shock seringkali ditemukan pada mahasiswa tahun pertama dan berdampak terhadap kondisi psikologis maupun akademik mahasiswa. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran culture shock pada mahasiswa tahun pertama Fakultas Ilmu-Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Metode: Penelitian kuantitaif deskriptif menggunakan teknik pengambilan data proportionate stratified random sampling dengan jumlah sempel 263 mahasiswa tahun pertama Fakultas Ilmu-Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan skala culture shock. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis univariat. Hasil Penelitian: Mahasiswa tahun pertama Fakultas Ilmu-Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman mengalami culture shock dalam kategori sedang. Kesimpulan: Mahasiswa tahun pertama Fakultas Ilmu-Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman memiliki tingkat culture shock sedang. Untuk mengatasi culture shock mahasiswa dapat mempelajari dan memahami budaya yang ada di lingkungan baru dan membina hubungan baik dengan orang lain. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Culture shock negative response that a person experiences when entering a new environment that is different from the previous. Culture shock is often found in first year students and has an impact on the psychological as well as academic of students. Purpose: This research a ims to understand the overview of culture shock in fist-year students of the Faculty Of Health Sciences, Jendral Soedirman University. Methods: Quantitative descriptuve research with using data collection techniques proportionate stratified random sampling with 263 first-year students Faculty Of Health Sciences, Jendral Soedirman University. The instrument used in this research was the culture shock scale. The data analysis used is univariate analysis. Result: First-year students of the Faculty Of Health Sciences, Jendral Soedirman University, experience culture shock in the moderate category. Conclusion: Fist-year students of the Faculty Of Health Sciences, Jendral Soedirman University, have a moderate level of culture shock. To overcome culture shock, students can learn and understand what is in the new environment and build good relationships with other people.
