| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Conversation Analysis of Turn-Taking Strategies in A YouTube Interview Video Entitled the Klan Comes to Town”. Penelitian ini membahasa topik tentang penggunaan strategi alih tutur yang digunakan oleh peserta di video wawancara YouTube yang berjudul “The Klan Comes to Town”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menampilkan penjelasan dan memaparkan penggunaan dan fungsi strategi alih tutur. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kualitatif. Data yang digunaka untuk penelitian ini diambil dari YouTube yaitu berupa video wawancara yang berjudul “The Klan Comes to Town”. Teori strategi alih tutur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori yang dikemukakan oleh Stenström. Penemuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi alih tutur oleh peserta dalam wawancara yang dominan adalah teknik prompting yang termasuk dalam subkelas strategi yielding the turn. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study entitled “Conversation Analysis of Turn-Taking Strategies in YouTube Interview Video Entitled The Klan Comes to Town”. This study discussed the topic about the application of turn-taking strategies employed by the participants in the YouTube interview video entitled The Klan Comes to Town. The study was aimed to provide explanation and elaboration of the application of turn-taking strategies and its functions. This research used qualitative method. The data were taken from YouTube interview video entitled The Klan Comes to Town. Turn-taking strategies theory proposed by Stenström was used to analyze this research. The findings of this research showed that the dominant use of turn-taking strategies employed by participants in the interview was prompting technique which belongs in the sub class of yielding the turn strategy |
