| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tindak tutur ekspresif yang diucapkan oleh steve Harvey di Little Big Shots season 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori tindak tutur ekspresif oleh Martínez (2013) dengan enam tipe: mengucapkan selamat, berterima kasih, meminta maaf, memaafkan, berduka cita, dan menyombongkan diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti menemukan empat tipe tindak tutur ekspresif, yaitu: menyombongkan diri 31 kali (41.9%), berterima kasih 17 kali (23%), mengucapkan selamat 16 kali (21.6%), dan meminta maaf 10 kali (13.5%). Tipe yang paling dominan di penelitian ini adalah menyombongkan diri. Steve Harvey paling banyak menggunakan ekspresi sombong karena ia sebagai orang berkulit hitam menggunakannya hanya untuk lelucon, sesuai dengan kultur mereka yang menganggap ekspresi sombong sebagai humor belaka. Steve Harvey menggunakam ekspresi sombong sebagai lelucon untuk membuat acaranya semakin menarik. Tidak ditemukan ekspresi memaafkan dan berduka cita di penelitian ini karena Little Big Shots adalah acara yang memiliki banyak situasi komedi yang bertolak belakang dengan dua tipe tersebut yang lebih identik dengan suasana duka cita. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study aims to determine and describe the types of expressive speech acts used by Steve Harvey in Little Big Shots Show season 1. This research used the theory of expressive speech act types by Martínez (2013) which is categorized into six types: congratulating, thanking, apologizing, pardoning, condoling, and boasting. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The researcher found four out of six types of expressive speech according to Martínez (2013); those are boasting, 32 times (41.9%), thanking, 17 times (23%), and congratulating, 16 times (21.6%), and apologizing, 10 times (13.5%). The dominant type of expressive speech act found in this research is boasting. Boasting became the dominant type spoken by Steve Harvey, who is a black man, and considered that in black culture, boasting is more used as a joke. Steve Harvey used to boast as a joke to make the show more entertaining. In contrast, no pardoning and condoling expressive speech acts are found in Steve Harvey’s utterances. Little Big Shots is an entertainment show that has a lot of comedy situations, different from pardoning and condoling which are more associated with mourning situations. |
