| Judul Artikel | TRANSLATION OF LEXICAL COLLOCATIONS AND THEIR ACCEPTABILITY IN QUIMCHEE’S WEBTOON “I LOVE YOO” |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis-jenis kolokasi leksikal, pergeseran penerjemahan serta aspek keberterimaan dari terjemahan kolokasi leksikal dalam webtoon I Love Yoo karya Quimchee. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori Kolokasi Leksikal oleh Benson et.al (2010: XXXI), teori pergeseran penerjemahan oleh Catford (1965: 73), dan teori Keberterimaan yang dikemukakan oleh Nababan (2012: 44). Data penelitian ini adalah 453 data kolokasi leksikal bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia dari 50 episode webtoon. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian, peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan total sampling. Hasil kuesioner yang diperoleh dari responden juga menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam melakukan penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari seluruh jenis kolokasi leksikal ditemukan enam jenis dimana verba + adverbia mendominasi dengan total kolokasi leksikal sebesar 62%, diikuti oleh adjektiva + nomina (12%), verba + nomina (12%), adverbia + adjektiva (10%), nomina + nomina (3%) dan nomina + verba (2%). Sementara itu, pergeseran penerjemahan yang digunakan hanya 2 pergeseran, yaitu pergeseran unit (59%) dan pergeseran struktur (41%). Pergeseran yang paling banyak digunakan adalah pergeseran unit yang dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan istilah yang sudah dikenal dan umum dalam bahasa sasaran, sedangkan pergeseran yang paling sedikit digunakan adalah pergeseran struktur yang menggunakan istilah yang tidak umum untuk mengekspresikan kolokasi leksikal cerita. Terakhir, aspek keberterimaan dari data sebagian besar berterima dengan total kolokasi leksikal sebesar 59% dan 41% dikategorikan kurang berterima. Dengan demikian, terjemahan kolokasi leksikal dalam webtoon I Love Yoo secara umum dapat dimengerti, menggunakan istilah yang familiar, wajar dan umum dalam bahasa sasaran. Oleh karena itu, hal ini dilihat dari penggunaan pergeseran unit dan struktur yang diterapkan pada setiap Jenis kolokasi leksikal dan korelasi antara jenis kolokasi leksikal, pergeseran terjemahan, dan keberterimaan yang kompleks dan bergantung pada konteks dalam webtoon I Love Yoo. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research aims to analyze the types of lexical collocation, translation shifting as well as the acceptability aspect of the translation of lexical collocation in I Love Yoo webtoon by Quimchee. The analysis was conducted by using the theory of Lexical Collocation by Benson et.al (2010: XXXI), theory of translation shifting by Catford (1965: 73), and theory of Acceptability proposed by Nababan (2012: 44). The data of this research consisted of 453 data of English and Indonesian lexical collocation from 50 webtoon episodes. In order to answer the research question, the researcher used the descriptive qualitative method and total sampling. The result of questionnaires acquired from the respondents were also taken into consideration in conducting this research. The result of this research shows that all types of lexical collocation are found six types in which verb + adverb dominates has a total of 62% lexical collocation, followed by adjective + noun (12%), verb + noun (12%), adverb + adjective (10%), noun + noun (3%), and noun + verb (2%). Meanwhile, the translation shifting that are used only 2 shifting, unit shift (59%) and structure shift (41%). The most used shifting is unit shift which is affected by use of familiar and common term in target language while at least used shifting is structure shift which use uncommon term to express of lexical collocation of the story. Lastly, the acceptability aspect of the data is predominantly acceptable which has a total 59% of lexical collocation and 41% categorized as less acceptable. Thus, the translation of lexical collocation in I Love Yoo webtoon are generally understandable, use familiar, natural and common term in target language. Therefore, this is retrieved by the use of the unit and structure shifting that are applied to each types of lexical collocation and the correlation between types of lexical collocation, translation shifting, and acceptability is complex and context-dependent in I Love Yoo webtoon. |
