| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tahun 2023 di Desa Melung tercatat memiliki ternak kambing sebanyak 1.503 ekor sehingga menghasilkan kotoran ternak sebanyak 90.180 kg/ bulan, dapat menjadi masalah dalam dunia peternakan di Desa Melung. Kotoran kambing dari peternak yang ada di Desa Melung biasanya hanya dijual Rp 60,00/ kg dalam satu karung dengan berat kurang lebih 50 Kg, setelah diolah menjadi kompos harga jual perkilogram mampu meningkat sebesar Rp 2.500/ kg. Materi yang digunakan untuk satu kali pembuatan kompos adalah 300 kg feses kambing yang didapat dari peternak di Desa Melung, serbuk gergaji sebanyak 15 kg, abu sebanyak 15 kg, aktivator feed animal sebanyak 750 mg dan kapur dolomit sebanyak 6 kg. Cara pembuatan yaitu feses kambing (sudah digiling) sebanyak 300 kg dengan kadar air 70 % disebar dan diratakan pada lantai, aktivator (0,1 %), abu sekam (5 %), serbuk gergaji (5 %) dan kapur dolomit (2 %), ditaburi di atas feses secara berurutan, kemudian komposisi tersebut dicampur atau diaduk hingga merata sampai homogen, campuran bahan kemudian dibuat gunungan dengan ketinggian minimal 1 meter. Berdasarkan dari hasil uji laboratorium pembuatan pertama didapatkan unsur N+P+K = 4,72%, pembuatan kedua didapatkan sebesar N+P+K = 2,66%, pembuatan ketiga didapatkan hasil N+P+K = 3,57%.
