| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tesis ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pre-eksperimental. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi penggunaan video animasi dalam pembelajaran, untuk mengetahui peningkatan yang signifikan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam percakapan dasar sehari-hari, untuk mengungkap persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan video animasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode total sampling, seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian yang jumlahnya 22 siswa. Observasi, tes, dan angket dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data. Implementasi video animasi sebagai media pembelajaran berbicara percakapan dasar sehari-hari telah terlaksana dengan baik. Hasil pre-test dan post-test diuji dengan menggunakan Uji beda sampel berpasangan. Rata-rata nilai pre-test siswa adalah 61.14 dan rata-rata nilai post-test siswa adalah 70.45. Uji beda sampel berpasangan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap perlakuan, dimana signifikansi <0.001 atau kurang dari 0.05. Artinya hipotesis nol ditolak dan terdapat peningkatan signifikan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam percakapan dasar sehari-hari. Berdasarkan analisis angket persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan video animasi sebagai media pembelajaran adalah positif (68.6% Setuju). Dengan demikian, video animasi dari LucyMax English Channel sebagai media pembelajaran terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam percakapan dasar sehari-hari siswa kelas lima. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This thesis is quantitative research with a pre-experimental research design. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of using animation videos in learning speaking in basic daily conversation, to find out the significant improvement of the students in speaking basic daily conversation, to reveal the students’ perceptions of the use of animation videos. In this study, the total sampling method was used. The population of fifth grade students at MI Darwata Kalijaran is 22 students and the entire population was used as the research sample. Observation, tests, and questionnaires were employed to collect the data. The implementation of animation videos as a learning medium in speaking basic daily conversation was carried out well. The results of the pre-test and post-test were tested using the Paired Sample T-test. The average of students’ pre-test scores was 61.14 and average of students’ post-test scores was 70.45. The paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference due to the treatment, where the significance is <0,001 or less than 0.05. This means that the null hypothesis was rejected and there was a significant improvement of the speaking ability in basic daily conversation of the students in the fifth grade at MI Darwata Kalijaran. Then, based on the questionnaire analysis, the students' perceptions of using animation videos as a medium for learning speaking in basic daily conversation are positive (68.6% Agree). Thus, animation videos by LucyMax English Channel as a learning medium are proven to be able to improve students’ speaking ability in basic daily conversation for fifth grade students. |
