Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengetahui praktik budidaya padi konvensional dan organik yang diimplementasikan oleh petani di Kabupaten Banyumas dan Cilacap. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan April-September 2023 di Kabupaten Cilacap dan Banyumas. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan survei purposive random sampling. Kriteria purposive random sampling berupa budidaya padi organik telah berjalan minimal selama 2 tahun dan tanpa menggunakan input pupuk ataupun pestisida kimia sintetis. Responden petani diambil sebanyak 6 petani organik dan 6 petani konvensional. Variabel penelitian antara lain pH tanah, C-Organik, kapasitas tukar kation tanah. Data hasil percobaan dianalisis dengan uji independent sample T test. Hasil wawancara petani menunjukkan praktik budidaya padi konvensional menggunakan pupuk kimia dan pestisida sintetik, serta umumnya petani tidak menggunakan pupuk organik padat pada pengolahan lahan sawah. Praktik budidaya padi organik menggunakan pupuk organik serta pestisida organik. Pupuk organik dan pestisida organik yang digunakan umumnya merupakan pupuk dan pestisida organik yang dibuat sendiri, berupa pupuk organik padat dan cair, IMO, ecoenzym, dan lain-lain.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)The research aims to find out conventional and organic rice cultivation practices implemented by farmers in Banyumas and Cilacap Regencies. The research was carried out from April-September 2023 in Cilacap and Banyumas Regencies. The research was carried out using a purposive random sampling survey approach. The criteria for purposive random sampling are that organic rice cultivation has been running for at least 2 years and without using synthetic chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The farmer respondents were 6 organic farmers and 6 conventional farmers. Research variables include soil pH, C-Organic, soil cation exchange capacity. The experimental data were analyzed using the independent sample T test. The results of farmer interviews show that conventional rice cultivation practices use chemical fertilizers and synthetic pesticides, and generally farmers do not use solid organic fertilizer in processing rice fields. Organic rice cultivation practices use organic fertilizer and organic pesticides. The organic fertilizers and organic pesticides used are generally self-made organic fertilizers and pesticides, in the form of solid and liquid organic fertilizers, IMO, ecoenzymes, etc.
