| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Kerdil pisang merupakan salah satu penyakit penting pada tanaman pisang yang disebabkan oleh Banana bunchy top virus (BBTV). Penyakit ini mampu menyebabkan kehilangan hasil pisang hingga 100%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan morfologi, dan biokimia beberapa kultivar pisang terinfeksi BBTV. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengamati dan menganalisis bibit tanaman pisang uji kultivar Mas, Cavendish, Kepok, dan Raja secara morfologi dan biokimia. Parameter yang diamati berupa perubahan morfologi, meliputi luas daun, lingkar batang, dan warna daun. Perubahan biokimia yang diamati meliputi kandungan fenol total, klorofil, protein dan gula total. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanaman pisang yang terinfeksi BBTV mengalami perubahan morfologi dan biokimia. Perubahan morfologi ditunjukkan melalui adanya penurunan luas daun sebesar 16% pada kultivar Mas, 82% kultivar Cavendish, 61% kultivar Kepok, dan 21% pada kultivar Raja. Perubahan biokimia ditunjukan melalui adanya perubahan kandungan fenol, klorofil, protein dan gula total. Kandungan fenol mengalami peningkatan sebesar 71% pada kultivar Mas, dan 78% pada kultivar Cavendish. Kandungan total klorofil mengalami penurunan pada kultivar Mas sebesar 87%. Kandungan protein menurun pada kultivar Kepok sebesar 57%. Kenaikan kandungan gula total terjadi pada semua kultivar yang diinfeksi, yaitu sebesar 314% pada kultivar Mas, 274% pada kultivar Cavendish, 275% pada kultivar Kepok, dan 270% pada kultivar Raja. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Banana stunting is an important disease in banana plants caused by Banana bunchy top virus (BBTV). Information about this disease is not widely available. The research was conducted in two stages, including the BBTV infection stage and the biochemical analysis stage of the tested banana plant seeds. The first stage of the research was aimed at obtaining information about changes in the morphology of banana plants infected with BBTV. The second phase of the research was aimed at obtaining information on biochemical changes in the test plants. The test plants used were banana cultivars of Mas, Cavendish, Kepok, and Raja. Parameters observed were morphological changes, namely by comparing the morphology of healthy plants with BBTV infected plants. Variables used include leaf area, stem circumference, and leaf color. Biochemical analysis was carried out both on test plants infected and not infected with BBTV, which included total phenol, chlorophyll, protein and total sugar content. The results showed that banana plants infected with BBTV underwent morphological and biochemical changes. Morphological changes were indicated by a decrease in leaf area of 16% in the Mas cultivar, 82% in the Cavendish cultivar, 61% in the Kepok cultivar, and 21% in the Raja cultivar. Biochemical changes are indicated by changes in the content of phenol, chlorophyll, protein and total sugar. The phenol content increased by 71% in the Mas cultivar and 78% in the Cavendish cultivar. The total chlorophyll content decreased in the Mas cultivar by 87%. The protein content decreased in the Kepok cultivar by 57%. The increase in total sugar content occurred in all infected cultivars, namely 314% in Mas cultivar, 274% in Cavendish cultivar, 275% in Kepok cultivar, and 270% in Raja cultivar. |
