| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini adalah studi empiris pada perusahaan yang tercatat sebagai nominator pada Indonesia Sustainability Reporting Awards periode 2010-2011. Penelitian ini berjudul “The influence of sustainable development concept, profitability, leverage, and company’s size towards enterprise value”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan (kinerja ekonomi, kinerja sosial, dan kinerja lingkungan), profitabilitas, solvabilitas, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Sampel penelitian di seleksi dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Dari 431 perusahaan, hanya 17 perusahaan yang terseleksi sebagai sampel. Dengan menggunakan data sekunder tahun 2009-2010, price earnings ratio digunakan dalam memprediksi nilai perusahaan. Penerapan konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan diukur menggunakan GRI G3 Guideline’s indeks versi 3.1 yang dikeluarkan oleh Global Reporting Initiative. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi berganda, menunjukan bahwa penerapan konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan melalui pengaruh simultan dari kinerja ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan mempunyai pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Dari hasil penelitian, juga ditemukan bahwa secara parsial terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari kinerja ekonomi, kinerja lingkungan, dan profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan. Tetapi, secara parsial kinerja sosial, solvabilitas, dan ukuran perusahaan tidak mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Implikasi dari kesimpulan diatas yaitu dalam upaya meningkatkan nilai perusahaannya, perusahaan-perusahaan di Indonesia seharusnya peduli dengan kontinuitas bisnis mereka dengan mempertimbangkan dan memberikan perhatian lebih pada aspek keberlanjutan dan kinerja keuangan perusahaan karena banyak manfaat yang akan didapatkan dan pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Pemerintah Indonesia juga seharusnya membuat peraturan yang tegas mengenai aktivitas bisnis perusahaan dalam upaya untuk mempertahankan keberlanjutan bisnis perusahaan dan dengan ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi penyimpangan/pelanggaran aspek sosial dan lingkungan. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is an empirical study on companies listed as nominator on Indonesia Sustainability Reporting Award for period of 2010-2011. The research entitled “The influence of sustainable development concept, profitability, leverage, and company’s size towards enterprise value”. The purpose of research is to find out the effect of implementation of sustainable development concept (economic performance, social performance, and environmental performance), profitability, leverage, and company’s size on enterprise value. The samples are selected by purposive sampling method. From 431 companies, only 17 companies are selected as samples for this research. Using secondary data from 2009-2010, the research uses price earnings ratio in predicting the enterprises value. The implementation of sustainable development concept are measured by GRI G3 Guideline’s index version 3.1 that issued by the Global Reporting Initiative. Based on the research results and data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis, it shows that the implementation of sustainable development concept through the simultaneously influence of economic, social and environmental performance has positive significant effect on enterprise value. It also found that as partially there is positive significant effect of economic performance, environmental performance, and profitability on enterprise value. But, partially the social performance, leverage, and company’s size have not significant effect on enterprise value. As implications of the conclusion, in order to increase its enterprise value, the companies in Indonesia should be aware with their own business continuity by considering and paying more attention in sustainability and company’s financial performance aspects because many benefits would be obtained and as a result would eventually increases their enterprise value. Indonesian government also should create a rigorous regulation about business activities of companies in order to maintain that their businesses are growing in a sustainable way and hopefully it can reduce companies’ social and environmental violations. |
