| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tesis ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dalam bentuk pre-eksperimental. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan dari penggunaan AIR model terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif, untuk mendeskripsikan realisasi penggunaan AIR model dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskriptif, dan untuk menjelaskan presepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan AIR model terhadap pembelajaran menulis teks deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini, besar sampelnya adalah 38 siswa yang merupakan siswa dari kelas X IPS 1 MAN 01 Cilacap yang diambil secara purposive samping. Seluruh sampel merupakan siswa dari kelas eksperimental yang diberikan perlakuan menggunakan Model AIR. Peneliti mengumpulkan data menggunakan dua kali test yakni pre-test dan post-test, kuesioner dan lembar observasi. Hasil dari pre-test dan post-test diuji menggunakan Paired Sample T-test. Rata-rata dari hasil nilai pre-test siswa adalah 53,22, dan rata-rata dari hasil nilai post-test siswa adalah 81,71. Hasil analisis data menunjukan signifikansi data sebesar <0,001. Dengan kata lain, Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Singkatnya, Model Auditory Intellectual, and Repetitive (AIR) dapat menjadi salah satu cara yang efektif terhadap pengajaran menulis teks deskriptif untuk kelas sepuluh. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is quantitative research in pre-experimental form. The aim of this research are to determine the effectiveness of using the AIR model on writing descriptive text, to describe the realization of using the AIR model in learning to write descriptive text, and to explain students' perceptions of the use of the AIR model in learning to write descriptive text. In this study, the sample size was 38 students who were students from class X IPS 1 MAN 01 Cilacap who were taken purposively. All samples were students from experimental classes who were given treatment using the AIR Model. Researchers collected data using two tests, namely pre-test and post-test, questionnaires and observation sheets. The results of the pre-test and post-test were tested using the Paired Sample T-test. The average of students' pre-test scores was 53.22, and the average of students' post-test scores was 81.71. The results of data analysis show that the significance of the data is <0.001. In other words, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. In short, the Auditory Intellectual and Repetitive (AIR) Model can be an effective way to teach writing descriptive texts for tenth graders. |
