Judul ArtikelThe Implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka in English Teaching (A Descriptive Study on the 10th Grade English Class in SMA Negeri 1 Cileungsi)
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kurikulum merdeka dalam pengajaran Bahasa Inggris di SMA Negeri 1 Cileungsi. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru Bahasa Inggris dan siswa kelas 10 di SMA Negeri 1 Cileungsi. Populasi dan sampel berjumlah 1 guru Bahasa Inggris dan 35 orang siswa kelas X6. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori Miles&Huberman, kemudian disajikan melalui penjelasan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah berhasil menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka di kelas meskipun masih terdapat kendala yang dihadapi guru yaitu kurangnya pengalaman, keterbatasan referensi, dan tidak efektifnya komunikasi antara guru dan siswa. Guru juga telah melakukan beberapa upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut yaitu dengan mengikuti in-house training, mencari referensi di media social, dan guru mendorong siswa untuk menyadari pentingnya belajar Bahasa Inggris.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)The research aims to know the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka in English Teaching in SMA Negeri 1 Cileungsi. This research belongs to a descriptive qualitative research. The research subject was the English teacher and the 10th grade students in SMA Negeri 1 Cileungsi. There were 1 english teacher and 35 students on the X6 as population and sample. The data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were analysed by using Miles&Huberman’s theory, then were presented through descriptive explanation. The result showed that the teacher had successfully implemented Kurikulum Merdeka in the class although there were still problems that the teacher faced which were lack of experience, limited references, and ineffective communication between the teacher and students. The teacher also had done some efforts to overcome the problems which were joined in-house training, looked for the references on social media, and teacher encouraged students to aware about the importance in learning English.
