| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian yang berjudul “Pengaruh Penyuntikan Hormon PG 600® Terhadap Onset dan Lama Berahi Domba Sakub” bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hormon PG 600® terhadap onset dan lama berahi domba Sakub. Penyuntikan hormon PG 600® diharapkan mampu meningkatkan jumlah folikel kemudian mengalami superovulasi sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi reproduksi ternak. Materi penelitian menggunakan domba Sakub sebanyak 2 ekor pejantan dan 21 ekor betina dengan paritas 2 dan 3, bobot 35-50 kg, dan berumur 2-3 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimental dengan perlakuan P1 = yaitu double injeksi hormon PGF2α masing-masing sebanyak 1,5 ml dengan selang waktu 11 hari. P2 = double injeksi hormon PGF2α masing-masing sebanyak 1,5 ml dengan selang waktu 11 hari + hormon PG 600® sebanyak 2,5 ml pada hari ke 9 setelah penyuntikan PGF2α yang pertama. Peubah yang diamati yaitu onset dan lama berahi domba Sakub. Data diuji masing-masing menggunakan uji t student unequal. Hasil analisis statistik ternyata menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan menghasilkan perbedaan yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap onset domba Sakub masing masing adalah 16,51 ± 0,09 dan 16,49 ± 0,43 jam, namun berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap lama berahi domba Sakub masing masing 33,89 ± 0,39 dan 34,50 ± 0,75 jam. Disimpulkan bahwa untuk memacu berahi cukup menggunakan PGF2α tanpa PG 600® kecuali untuk memperpanjang masa berahi |

Inggris) | The research entitled "The Effect of Injecting the PG 600® Hormone on the Onset and Duration of Oestrus in Sakub Sheep" aims to determine the effect of the hormone PG 600® on the onset and duration of oestrus in Sakub sheep. It is hoped that the induction of the PG 600® hormone at a predetermined time interval will increase the follicles and then experience superovulation thereby increasing the reproductive efficiency of livestock. The research material used 2 male Sakub sheep and 21 females with parity 2 and 3, weighing 35-50 kg, and 2-3 years old. The research method used was experimental with treatment P1 = double injection of the PGF2α hormone, 1.5 ml each with an interval of 11 days. P2 = double injection of 1.5 ml of PGF2α hormone each with an interval of 11 days + 2.5 ml of PG 600®hormone on day 9 after the first PGF2α injection. The variables observed were the onset and duration of estrus in Sakub sheep. Each data was tested using the unequal student t test. The results of statistical analysis showed that treatment resulted in no significant difference (P>0,05) in the onset of Sakub sheep which were 16,51 ± 0,09 and 16,49 ± 0,43 hours, respectively. However, they had a significant effect (P<0,05) on the duration of estrus in Sakub sheep, which were 33,89 ± 0,39 and 34,50 ± 0,75 hours, respectively. The conclusion was that PGF2α was sufficient to induce oestrus without PG 600®, except to extend the duration of heat. |
