| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Uni Eropa merupakan salah satu importir minyak sawit terbesar di dunia, yang menjadikan mereka memiliki suatu rasa keharusan atas apa yang dihasilkan dari proses kegiatan pembuatan minyak sawit atau pun hasil dari pembuatan minyak sawit yang menyebabkan perubahan iklim dan pemanasan global. Peningkatan kesadaran terhadap dampak perubahan iklim serta akibat yang timbul dari perubahan iklim tersebut melatar belakangi kebijakan Renewable Energy Directive untuk disusun. Banyak negara yang terpengaruh dengan adanya kebijakan Renewable Energy Directive termasuk Indonesia, karena penekanan dan seleksi minyak sawit membuat harga dan nilai ekspor mengalami penurunan akibat dari kebijakan Uni Eropa ini yang melarang negara anggota Uni Eropa menggunakan biofuel kelapa sawit karena dianggap sebagai sumber penyumbang terbesar deforestasi yang membuat negara-negara produsen minyak kelapa sawit menentang kebijakan ini karena dianggap dapat mengganggu ekspor kelapa sawit mereka. Tulisan ini akan membahas respon yang diberikan kelompok industri sawit Indonesia dengan adanya kebijakan Renewable Energy Directive Uni Eropa dari tahun 2019-2022. Tulisan ini bersifat deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Hasil dari tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa bagaimana kelompok industri sawit Indonesia melakukan sejumlah upaya dan respon kepada pemerintahan Uni Eropa dengan adanya kebijakan Renewable Energy Directive. |

Inggris) | The European Union is one of the largest importers of palm oil in the world, which makes it imperative for them to be aware that the production of palm oil is causing climate change and global warming. Increased awareness of the impact of climate change and the consequences of climate change is the background for the Renewable Energy Directive. Many countries are affected by the Renewable Energy Directive policy including Indonesia, because the emphasis and selection of palm oil has made the price and value of exports decline due to this EU policy which prohibits EU member countries from using palm oil biofuels because it is considered the largest contributor to deforestation which makes palm oil producing countries oppose this policy because it is considered to interfere with their palm oil exports. This paper will discuss the response given by Indonesian palm oil industry groups to the existence of the European Union's Renewable Energy Directive policy from 2019-2022. This paper is descriptive in nature using qualitative research methods. The results of this paper show that how Indonesian palm oil industry groups made a number of efforts and responses to the European Union government with the Renewable Energy Directive policy. |
