| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini menggambarkan catcalling sebagai bentuk kekerasan seksual secara verbal yang terjadi di ruang publik. Bentuk catcalling yang sering terjadi biasanya berupa siulan, komentar yang bertendensi seksual dan menatap tubuh seseorang. Hal tersebut membatasi ruang gerak seseorang sehingga korban merasa tidak nyaman dan trauma. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik penentuan informan menggunakan purposive sampling dengan kriteria informan mahasiswi berhijab Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Jenderal Soedirman sebagai korban catcalling angkatan 2019-2022. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat beberapa persepsi mahasiswi berhijab FISIP Unsoed terhadap catcalling diantaranya yaitu dianggap sebagai candaan pelaku dan catcalling sebagai kekerasan seksual secara verbal berupa siulan, main mata atau gestur tubuh yang bertujuan untuk membuat korban merasa tidak nyaman dan tergangggu terhadap perlakuannya. Pencegahan catcalling yang dilakukan dengan langkah preventif dengan menghindari tempat kerumunan, harus bisa menjaga diri serta menghindari keluar malam secara sendirian. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The study describes catcalling as a form of verbal sexual violence that occurs in public spaces. The most common form of catcalling is typically a joke, a sexual commentary, or a look at someone's body. It restricts a person's space of movement so that the victim feels uncomfortable and traumatized. This research uses descriptive and qualitative research methods. Technical determination of the informant using purposive sampling with the criteria of the student informant of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Sciences of the General University of Soedirman as the victim of the force catcalling 2019–2022. As a result of this study, there are several perceptions of FISIP Unsoed students against catcalling, including that it is considered the mark of the perpetrator and catcalls as verbal sexual abuse, such as cheating, eye play, or body gestures aimed at making the victim feel uncomfortable and disturbed by his behavior. Prevention of catcalling is done with preventive measures such as avoiding crowds, being able to take care of themselves, and avoiding going out at night alone. |
