Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Latar Belakang. Pemeliharaan ayam broiler di lingkungan yang memiliki suhu panas menyebabkan ayam broiler mengalami cekaman panas. Cekaman panas pada ayam broiler menyebabkan pertumbuhan terganggu karena peningkatan konsumsi air minum daripada konsumsi pakan. Penambahan nukleotida dan ekstrak kunyit dalam pakan diperlukan untuk membantu mengurangi cekaman panas pada ayam broiler. Kerusakan hati dipengaruhi oleh dua enzim yaitu Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (SGPT) dan Serum Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase (SGOT). Materi dan Metode. Materi yang digunakan berupa ayam broiler DOC CP 707 sebanyak 168 ekor. Perlakuan yang diberikan berupa perlakuan kontrol, N0K0, N0K1, N1K0, N1K1, N2K0 dan N2K1. Hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi nukleotida dan ekstrak kunyit berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kadar SGPT ayam broiler. Suplementasi nukleotida dan ekstrak kunyit berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kadar SGOT ayam broiler. Simpulan. Suplementasi nukleotida dosis 250 hingga 500 mg/kg pakan dan ekstrak kunyit dosis 600 mg/kg pakan tidak meningkatkan kadar SGPT secara signifikan tetapi meningkatkan kadar SGOT secara signifikan.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Background. Raising broiler chickens in a high temperature environment causes heat stress in broilers. Heat stress in broilers leads to impaired growth due to increased drinking water consumption rather than feed consumption. The addition of nucleotides and turmeric extract in feed is needed to help reduce heat stress in broilers. Liver damage is affected by two enzymes, Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (SGPT) and Serum Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase (SGOT). Materials and Methods.The material used was 168 broiler chickens DOC CP 707. The treatments given were control, N0K0, N0K1, N1K0, N1K1, N2K0 and N2K1. Results. The results showed that nucleotide and turmeric extract supplementation had no significant effect (P>0.05) on broiler SGPT levels. Nucleotide and turmeric extract supplementation had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the SGOT levels of broiler chickens. Conclusion. Supplementation of nucleotides at a dose of 250 to 500 mg/kg feed and turmeric extract at a dose of 600 mg/kg feed did not significantly increase SGPT levels but significantly increased SGOT levels.
