| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tulisan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keberadaan coffee shop sebagai salah satu bagian dari fenomena café society yang mencerminkan gaya hidup kekotaan sehingga berpengaruh dalam penggunaan campur kode pada masyarakat bilingual. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor yang memengaruhi campur kode dalam interaksi pekerja dan pengunjung di coffee shop Kota Purwokerto. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah setiap tuturan, baik kata, frasa, atau klausa yang digunakan dalam interaksi pekerja dan pengunjung di coffee shop kota Purwokerto. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak bebas libat cakap dan cakap bertemuka muka dengan teknik sadap dan catat. Penelitian ini menunjukkan keterbatasan kode, pembicara dan pribadi pembicara, penggunaan istilah yang lebih populer, fungsi dan tujuan, serta untuk bergengsi sebagai faktor yang memengaruhi campur dalam interaksi pekerja dan pengunjung di coffee shop Kota Purwokerto.

Inggris) | This paper is motivated by the existence of coffee shops as part of the café society phenomenon, which reflects the urban lifestyle and influences the use of code-switching in bilingual communities. Based on this background, the aim of this study is to describe the factors that influence code-switching in the interaction between workers and visitors in coffee shops in Kota Purwokerto. The data used in this research consist of every utterance, whether it is a word, phrase, or clause used in the interaction between workers and visitors in coffee shops in Kota Purwokerto. Data collection was conducted through the methods of participant observation and face-to-face conversations, employing techniques such as eavesdropping and note-taking. This research reveals that code limitations, speaker and interlocutor's identity, usage of popular terms, function and purpose, as well as prestige, are factors influencing code-switching in the interaction between workers and visitors in coffee shops in Kota Purwokerto. |
