Judul ArtikelThe Portrayal of Dissociative Identity Disorder in Mohamed Diab's Moon Knight (2022)
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini menganalisis gambaran gangguan identitas disosiatif (DID) pada perubahan karakter Moon Knight (2022). Penggambaran DID dan penyebab DID dikaji untuk menampilkan gambaran DID.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)This study analyzes the portrayal of dissociative identity disorder (DID) in the character's alters of Moon Knight (2022). The depiction of DID and the cause of DID are examined to showcase the portrayals of the DID. Therefore, to achieve the research objective, we employed a psychoanalytic study by Sigmund Freud (1896) who was the father of psychoanalysis, a method for treating mental disease and an academic discipline that explains human behavior. Sigmund Freud’s theory of personality includes three components of conscious, preconscious, and unconscious This study used a descriptive qualitative method. In this case, the DID has three alters; the depiction of which is divided by three criteria, namely how the DID switches work, how DID communicates, and how the inner world of DID manifests; and lastly the cause of the DID which is child abuse. The findings show that the portyalas of DID are shown when the character is under pressure or stress which can trigger the DID itself by switching into another alter to cope with the situation.
