Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi aplikasi BAP yang tepat untuk perkecambahan benih padi dan mengetahui pengaruh lama perendaman terbaik bagi perkecambahan benih padi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Juli sampai Agustus 2023 di Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara, Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan lapangan dengan RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap). Faktor pertama yaitu konsentrasi ZPT BAP yang terdiri dari 4 taraf kontrol (0 ppm), konsentrasi 25 ppm, konsentrasi 50 ppm, dan konsentrasi 75 ppm. Faktor kedua yang diuji adalah lama perendaman yang terdiri dari 3 taraf lama perendaman 6 jam, lama perendaman 12 jam, dan lama perendaman 24 jam. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji F, apabila terdapat keragaman dilanjutkan Uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan konsentrasi ZPT BAP dengan konsentrasi BAP 75 ppm memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap variabel jumlah daun yaitu 2,14 helai, variabel luas daun terbaik yaitu 2,97 cm2. Pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap variabel panjang perkecambahan dengan konsentrasi BAP 50 ppm menghasilkan panjang perkecambahan terbaik yaitu 11,50 cm, kemudian pada variabel panjang akar terbaik yaitu sebesar 55,54 mm, dan bobot basah kecambah terbaik yaitu sebesar 1,05 g. Perlakuan lama perendaman hanya memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap variabel panjang perkecambahan dengan lama perendaman 24 jam menghasilkan panjang perkecambahan terbaik yaitu 9,74 cm. Interaksi perlakuan konsentrasi ZPT BAP dan lama perendaman memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun dengan Perlakuan kombinasi konsentrasi BAP 75 ppm dan lama perendaman 12 jam memberikan jumlah daun terbaik yaitu 2,30 helai.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)The research aims to determine the appropriate concentration of BAP application for rice seed germination and to identify the best soaking duration for rice seed germination. The study was conducted from July to August 2023 at the Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, North Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. This research was a field experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor was the concentration of BAP ZPT, consisting of 4 level: control (0 ppm), concentration of 25 ppm, concentration of 50 ppm, and concentration of 75 ppm. The second factor tested was the soaking duration, consisting of 3 level: soaking for 6 hours, soaking for 12 hours, and soaking for 24 hours. The data were analyzed using F-test, and if there was variation, Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was conducted at a significance level of 5%. The research results indicated that the treatment involving the concentration of the PGR BAP at 75 ppm significantly influenced the leaf count variable with an average of 2.14 leaves. The treatment also had a significant effect on the best leaf area, which was 2.97 cm². A highly significant impact was observed on the variable of shoot length, where the concentration of BAP at 50 ppm yielded the best shoot length of 11.50 cm. However, the treatment resulted in the best root length of 55.54 mm and the best wet weight of seedlings at 1.05 g. As for the soaking duration treatment, it only had a significant impact on the shoot length variable. Soaking the seeds for 24 hours resulted in the best shoot length of 9.74 cm. The interaction between the concentration of the PGR BAP and soaking duration also demonstrated significant effects. The combination of a BAP concentration of 75 ppm and a soaking duration of 12 hours yielded the best leaf count with an average of 2.30 leaves.
