Indonesia) | ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran vital tubuh cempe pra sapih peranakan etawah yang meliputi panjang badan, lingkar dada, dalam dada dan tinggi badan, membandingkan ukuran vital tubuh cempe pra sapih peranakan etawah berdasarkan tipe kelahiran, dan mengetahui hubungan ukuran vital tubuh dengan bobot tubuh cempe pra sapih peranakan etawah di kelompok ternak “PEGUMAS” Kecamatan Gumelar. Materi yang digunakan adalah cempe pra sapih kambing peranakan etawah di kelompok tani ternak “PEGUMAS”, Kecamatan Gumelar sebanyak 60 ekor. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode survey. Jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 60 ekor, yang dikelompokkan berdasarkan tipe kelahiran yaitu kelahiran tunggal sebanyak 20 ekor (P1), kelahiran dua sebanyak 20 ekor (P2), dan kelahiran tiga sebanyak 20 ekor (P3). Hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa tipe kelahiran tidak berpengaruh nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap panjang badan, lingkar dada, dalam dada, tinggi badan. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa tipe kelahiran berpengaruh nyata (P < 0,05) terhadap bobot tubuh. Secara numerik cempe asal kelahiran tunggal memiliki bobot tubuh paling berat dibanding cempe asal kelahiran kembar. Hubungan antara panjang badan, lingkar dada, dalam dada, dan tinggi badan dengan bobot tubuh memiliki persamaan regresi sebagai berikut : Y = -14,37 + 0,12 X1 + 0,27 X2 - 0,19 X3 + 0,23 X4 |

Inggris) | ABSTRACT The purposes of this study were to determine the body’s vital size of pre-weaned etawah lambs that include the length of body, girth circumference, the depth of chest and height at wither, and to compare the size of the body's vital of pre-weaned etawah lambs by the types of birth and to know the relationship between the size of the body’s vital and the body weight at the Pegumas farmer group. The puposive sampling was used in this survey with a total sampels of 60 pre-weaned etawah lambs were chosen according to birth types (singgle, twin and triplet). The samples were consisted of 20 single born (P1), 20 twins (P2), and 20 triplet (P3). The statistical analysis of variance showed that the type of birth had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on body length, girth circumference, the depth of chest and body height. In addition, the statistical analyses showed that the type of birth significantly affected (P<0.05) body weight. Numerically, single births had the heaviest weight compared to the twin or triplet born lambs. The relationship of the length of body, girth circumferences, the depth od chest, the height of withers with body weight had regression equation as follows: Y = -14.37 + 0.12 X1+ 0.27X2-0.19X3 + 0.23X4 |
