| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Pernikahan perlu dipersiapkan agar individu dapat menjalankan peran serta tugas sebagai pasangan dan orang tua dengan baik. Perkawinan yang dilakukan tanpa persiapan dapat menimbulkan risiko dan tantangan. Semua individu berhak untuk melakukan perkawinan, tidak terkecuali penyandang tunagrahita. Keterbatasan yang dimiliki oleh penyandang tunagrahita menyebabkan peranan orang tua dalam kesiapan perkawinan pada individu tersebut menjadi lebih penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dukungan sosial orang tua dalam kesiapan menikah pada tunagrahita usia emerging adulthood. Metodologi: Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 6 informan utama dan 8 informan pendukung yang diperoleh menggunakan purposive sampling dan snowball sampling. Analisis data kualitatif menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil Penelitian: Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dukungan orang tua mengenai kesiapan menikah kepada anak tunagrahita, yaitu dukungan informatif berupa pemberian informasi mengenai kesiapan menikah seperti kesiapan finansial dan nasihat untuk menjaga pergaulan, serta diskusi mengenai keinginan bekerja dan pendidikan seksual. Dukungan emosional berupa rasa kepedulian terhadap kondisi kesiapan menikah. Dukungan penghargaan, yaitu dalam bentuk pujian serta hadiah berupa uang sebagai apresiasi atas kemandirian yang dilakukan anak. Terakhir, dukungan instrumental berupa penyediaan biaya uang saku dan fasilitas dalam bentuk melatih skill di tempat pelatihan, di tempat usaha, atau di rumah serta membantu anak dalam mencari pekerjaan. Kesimpulan: Pemberian dukungan orang tua terhadap kesiapan menikah anak tunagrahita dalam bentuk dukungan informatif, emosional, penghargaan, dan instrumental. Dukungan sosial tersebut perlu diberikan kepada anak berkebutuhan khusus selama orang tua mampu memberikan dukugan tersebut agar anak mampu melakukan tugas perkembangannya di fase dewasa. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Marriage needs to be prepared so that individuals can fulfill their responsibilities as spouses and parents. Lack of planning can pose risks and challenges, especially if they are not properly considered. All individuals have the right to marry, including persons with disabilities. The limitations possessed by people with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) make the role of parents in preparing these individuals for marriage more important. This study aims to find out how much social support parents have for marriage readiness among adults with ID. Methodology: The research was conducted using a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects consisted of six main informants and eight supporting informants, who were obtained using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Qualitative data analysis using thematic analysis. Results: The results show that parental support regarding marriage readiness for adults with ID is informative support in the form of providing information about marriage readiness, such as financial readiness and advice on maintaining relationships, as well as discussion of desires regarding work and sexual education. Emotional support in the form of a sense of concern for the condition of readiness for marriage Appreciation support, namely in the form of praise as well as gifts in the form of money, as an expression of appreciation for the independence of the child. Finally, instrumental support in the form of providing pocket money and facilities in the form of training skills at the training center, at places of business, or at home, as well as helping children find jobs. Conclusion: Providing parental support for adults with ID for marriage readiness takes the form of informative, emotional, appreciation, and instrumental support. This social support needs to be given to children with special needs as long as the parents are able to provide this support so that children are able to fulfill their developmental tasks in adulthood. |
