| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Telur merupakan bahan makanan bergizi namun telur dapat mengalami penurunan kualitas yang dapat mengurangi kandungan gizinya. Untuk membedakan telur yang masih memiliki kualitas baik atau buruk maka dibuatlah alat pendeteksi kualitas telur yang memiliki prinsip kerja mirip dengan metode peneropongan yang lebih dahulu dipakai masyarakat umum. Alat ini akan memisahkan telur menjadi dua, kategori kualitas baik dan buruk, yang ditentukan berdasarkan kondisi telur saat disinari yaitu intensitas cahaya yang diteruskan dan kemudian diterima oleh sensor. Sensor yang digunakan adalah sensor fotodioda sebagai pendeteksi keberadaan telur pada alat serta untuk mendeteksi kualitas telur dengan mempertimbangkan intensitas cahaya yang diterima telur dari LED. Sebagai pengendali menggunakan Mikrokontroler ATmega 8 serta buzzer sebagai keluarannya. Buzzer ini akan berbunyi apabila telur telah dideteksi dengan bunyi yang berbeda antara telur yang berkualitas baik atau buruk. Hasil yang didapat dari pengujian alat yaitu alat dapat bekerja sesuai dengan fungsinya sebagai pendeteksi kualitas telur.
