| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Film merupakan salah satu media komunikasi massa yang menampilkan serangkaian gambar bergerak dengan alur cerita yang diperankan oleh aktor untuk menyampaikan pesan kepada penonton. Karena alasan tersebut, pesan yang terkandung dalam sebuah film menjadi penting untuk penonton. Salah satu film yang mengandung banyak pesan adalah film "Mulan" versi live-action (2020). Film ini mengangkat tema kesetaraan gender sebagai isu utamanya. Penelitian ini berjudul "Semiotic Analysis on the Representation Of Gender Equality In "Mulan" Live Action Version (2020) Movie. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan representasi kesetaraan gender yang terdapat dalam film tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode semiotika Pierce. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada teori model Harvard dalam empat indikator, yaitu: akses, partisipasi, kontrol, dan manfaat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam penelitian ini terdapat representasi kesetaraan gender melalui beberapa aspek, yaitu akses untuk melatih keterampilan, partisipasi dalam melawan dan menyelamatkan Kaisar, kontrol terhadap tim, dan mendapatkan keuntungan yang adil atas apa yang dilakukan. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | A movie is one of the mass communication media that displays a series of moving images with a storyline played by actors to convey a message to the audience. For this reason, the message contained in the movie becomes important to the audience. One of the movies that contains many messages is "Mulan" live-action version (2020. This movie raises the theme of gender equality as its main issue. This research is entitled Semiotic Analysis on the Representation Of Gender Equality In "Mulan" Live Action Version (2020) Movie. The aim of this research is to find a representation of gender equality contained in the movie. This research uses qualitative research using the Pierce’s semiotic method. Data collection techniques include observation and documentation. This research focuses on the Harvard model theory in the four indicators, namely: access, participation, control, and benefits. The results of the analysis show that in this research there is representation of gender equality through several aspects, namely access to practice skills and get information, participation in fighting and saving the Emperor, control of the team, and getting fair benefits for what is done. |
