| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Keberadaan bakteri dalam saluran pencernaan ikan nilem (Osteochillus vittatus) dapat dipengaruhi oleh garam yang ditambahkan dalam pakan dengan dosis berbeda karena adanya kandungan senyawa antibakteri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui berapa proporsi dan indeks aktivitas proteolitik pada saluran pencernaan ikan nilem. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan 5 perlakuan (0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, dan 4% garam) dan 3 ulangan. Parameter penelitian yaitu kelimpahan bakteri, proporsi gram positif dan negatif, proporsi bakteri proteolitik, indeks aktivitas bakteri proteolitik dan kualitas air. Setelah dilakukan pemeliharaan selama 60 hari, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada parameter yang diamati, kelimpahan bakteri berkisar 5,52–55,9 x 106 CFU/g, proporsi Gram positif berkisar 40-69%, Gram negatif berkisar 30-58%, proporsi bakteriproteolitik berkisar 6-34%, dan indeks aktivitas bakteri proteolitik berkisar 1,02- 4,16. Suhu pada kolam pemeliharaan yaitu 26–27,2°C, pH pada kolam pemeliharaan yaitu 7,4-8,0 dan oksigen terlarut (DO) yaitu 4,3-6,2. Kualitas air kolam pemeliharaan ikan nilem masih dalam kisaran normal. |

Inggris) | The presence of bacteria in the digestive tract of nilem (Osteochillus vittatus) can be affected by salt added to the feed at different doses because of the presence of antibacterial compounds. The purpose of this study was to determine the proportion and index of proteolytic activity in the nilem digestive tract. This study used an experimental method with 5 treatments (0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4% salt) and 3 replications. The research parameters were the abundance of bacteria, the proportion of gram positive and negative, the proportion of proteolytic bacteria, the activity index of proteolytic bacteria and water quality. After 60 days of maintenance, the results showed that there was no significant difference in the parameters observed, the abundance of bacteria ranged from 5,52–55,9 x 106 CFU/g, the proportion of Gram positive ranged from 40-69%, Gram negative ranged from 30-58 %, the proportion of proteolytic bacteria ranged from 6-34%, and the activity index of proteolytic bacteria ranged from 1.02-4.16. The temperature in the rearing pond is 26–27.2°C, the pH in the rearing pond is 7.4-8.0 and the dissolved oxygen (DO) is 4.3-6.2. The water quality of nilem ponds is still within the normal range. |
