| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Permintaan tanaman hias berkembang seiring dengan meningkatnya kesadaran manusia akan lingkungan hidup yang indah dan nyaman. Tanaman cabai yang ditanam sebagai tanaman hias harus memenuhi persyaratan yang menambah estetika, salah satu upayanya adalah dengan pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh tanaman (ZPT) Giberelin yang dapat menstimulasi pembungaan dan pertumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai konsentrasi GA3 terhadap pertumbuhan tiga varietas cabai hias, mengetahui perbedaan respon berbagai varietas terhadap penambahan GA3, dan mengetahui konsentrasi giberelin yang tepat untuk meningkatkan nilai estetika tiga varietas cabai hias dengan Uji Afektif. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) Faktorial 4 x 3 dengan 3 kali ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi Giberelin (0 ppm, 10 ppm, 20 ppm, dan 30 ppm). Faktor kedua adalah varietas cabai hias (Varietas Orange Chupetinho, Varietas Thai Pumpkin, dan Varietas Lemon Drop). Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dilanjutkan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi giberelin signifikan menurunkan kandungan klorofil daun dibandingkan kontrol. Varietas Thai Pumpkin memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, lebar tajuk, jumlah buah terbentuk, diameter buah, bobot buah, dan produktivitas. Varietas Orange Chupetinho memberikan hasil terbaik pada umur berbunga, jumlah bunga rontok, jumlah buah terbentuk, dan fruit set. Varietas Lemon Drop hanya memberikan hasil terbaik pada jumlah daun. Hasil uji afektif yaitu tanaman cabai hias varietas Orange Chupetinho dan varietas Thai Pumpkin memiliki nilai estetika terbaik pada perlakuan kontrol, sementara varietas Lemon Drop memiliki nilai estetika terbaik pada penambahan giberelin 20 ppm. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The demand for ornamental plants is growing along with the increasing human awareness of a beautiful and comfortable living environment. Pepper plants grown as ornamental plants must meet requirements that add to the aesthetics, one of the efforts is the provision of plant growth regulators (PGR) Gibberellin which can stimulate flowering and growth. This study aims to determine the effect of various concentrations of GA3 on the growth of three varieties of ornamental peppers, to determine differences in the response of various varieties to the addition of GA3, and to determine the right concentration of gibberellin to increase the aesthetic value of three varieties of ornamental peppers with the affective test. The research used a 4 x 3 Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 3 replications. The first factor is Gibberellin concentration (0 ppm, 10 ppm, 20 ppm, and 30 ppm). The second factor is ornamental pepper varieties (Orange Chupetinho Variety, Thai Pumpkin Variety, and Lemon Drop Variety). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at an error level of 5%. The results showed that gibberellin application significantly reduced leaf chlorophyll content compared to the control. Thai Pumpkin variety gave the best results in plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, canopy width, number of fruits formed, fruit diameter, fruit weight, and productivity. Orange Chupetinho variety gave the best results in flowering age, number of drop flowers, number of fruits formed, and fruit set. Lemon Drop variety only gives the best results on the number of leaves. The affective test results are ornamental pepper plants of Orange Chupetinho and Thai Pumpkin varieties have the best aesthetic value in the control treatment, while the Lemon Drop variety has the best aesthetic value in the addition of 20 ppm gibberellin. |
