| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini membahas keakuratan dan keberterimaan terjemahan humor. Analisis bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis wordplay humor, beserta keakuratannya dalam bahasa sasaran. Analisis penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori jenis humor terpilih dari Schroter (2005) dan teori akurasi dari Nababan (2012). Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendapatkan tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: dari 25 permainan kata yang ada di SpongeBob SquarePants season 1-3 tidak akurat. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kesalahan strategi yang digunakan oleh penerjemah seperti mempertahankan kata asing, pemilihan diksi yang tidak tepat, dan penghapusan pesan. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The research discusses the accuracy and acceptability of humor translation. The analysis aims to identify the types of wordplay humor, along with its accuracy in the target language. The analysis of this research was conducted by using the selected types of humor theory by Schroter (2005) and the accuracy theory by Nababan (2012). The researcher uses a qualitative descriptive method to get the objective of the research. The findings of the research show that: from 25 wordplays that exist in SpongeBob SquarePants seasons 1-3 are inaccurate. This caused of the wrong startegy that used for the translator like maintaining the foreign words, inccorect choosing the propriate diction, and deletion the message.
