| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | vPerforma ayam broiler mempengaruhi hasil pendapatan usaha peternakan bagi peternak rakyat di Indonesia. Terdapat tidaknya perbedaan performa ayam broiler fase starter pada dua tipe kandang yang berbeda yaitu pada kandang tipe C dengan kapasitas 8000 ekor dan closed house modern dengan kapasitas 12000 ekor merupakan tujuan dari penelitian ini. Variabel yang diukur adalah Pertambahan Bobot Badan (PBB), Mortalitas atau kematian, Feed Intake (FI) dan Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR). Pengambilan data dilakukan selama dua minggu pada dua periode pemeliharaan dengan 8 data yang diambil per variabel. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei langsung di lapangan yang diambil selama program Bertani Untuk Negeri di Jawa Timur, Nganjuk, Kecamatan Brebek, desa Salamrojo dan data dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan secara langsung (observasi) kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan uji T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rataan untuk Pertambahan Bobot Badan (PBB), Mortalitas atau kematian, Feed Intake (FI) dan Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR) pada kandang tipe C berturut-turut adalah 213 gr, 0,35 %, 306,43 gr/ekor, dan 1,258, sedangkan pada kandang closed house modern adalah 234,93 gr, 0,525 %, 327,87 gr/ekor, dan 1,268. Hasil analisis menggunakan uji T-Test menunjukkan bahwa performa ayam broiler PBB, Mortalitas, FI, dan FCR dari dua tipe kandang (tipe C dan closed house modern) tidak berbeda nyata (P > 0,05). Data performa ayam broiler menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan pada kedua kandang secara nyata. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The performance of broiler chickens affects the results of livestock business income for smallholder farmers in Indonesia. Whether there is a difference in the performance of broiler chickens in the starter phase in two different types of cages, namely the type C cage with a capacity of 8000 birds and a modern closed house with a capacity of 12000 birds is the aim of this study. The variables measured are body weight gain (PBB), mortality or death, feed intake (FI) and feed conversion ratio (FCR). Data collection was carried out for two weeks in two maintenance periods with 8 data taken per variable. The method used was a direct survey in the field taken during the Farming for the Country program in East Java, Nganjuk, Brebek District, Salamrojo village and data was collected through direct observation (observation) then the data was analyzed using the T-Test. The results showed that the average body weight gain (PBB), mortality or death, feed intake (FI) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) in type C cages were 213 gr, 0.35%, 306.43 gr/head respectively. , and 1.258, whereas in modern closed house cages it is 234.93 gr, 0.525%, 327.87 gr/head, and 1.268. The results of the analysis using the T-test showed that the performance of the broiler's PBB, Mortality, FI, and FCR of the two types of cages (type C and modern closed house) was not significantly different (P > 0.05). Data on the performance of broiler chickens showed that there was no significant difference in the two cages. |
