| Judul Artikel | AN ANALYSIS OF TEACHING STRATEGIES IN TEACHING RECOUNT TEXT FOR GRADE VIII STUDENTS AT SMP N 4 PURWOKERTO ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022 |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | This research is qualitative research about the teaching strategies that teacher was used in teaching recount text for grade eight students in SMP Negeri 4 Purwokerto academic year 2021/2022. This research is focused in answer research questions regarding the kind of strategies in teaching recount text, how strategies are implemented in instructional activities, and the challenges that teacher faced during the implementation process. In this research, the researcher chooses the SMP Negeri 4 Purwokerto in January 2022 as the research setting. The researcher takes three data which are observation data, interview data, and documentation data. The researcher observes two class in SMP Negeri 4 and interview the teacher to acquire the research data. From this research, the researcher finds some information related to the teaching strategies that were used by the teacher to teach recount text. From the result of the data analysis, the researcher finds the fact that is the teacher uses multiple teaching strategies in teaching recount text. During the implementation of the presentation strategy the teacher uses many medias such as pictures and videos in delivering the information. The teacher also uses group discussion strategy where students are divided into some small group. The teacher also uses simple language and involve student’s smartphone in teaching. The researcher also finds some challenges in implementing the strategy such as the gap of knowledge between students, some students have less motivation, and technical problem during the implementation of a strategy. |
