| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Film Bridge to Terabithia bercerita tentang fenomena bullying dengan mengambil sudut pandang korban bullying dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang dialaminya, salah satunya dengan berimajinasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran imajinasi anak korban bullying dan menjelaskan peran imajinasi tersebut dalam mengatasi masalah bullying.Bahan utama penelitian ini adalah film Bridge to Terabithia (2007) dan beberapa sumber bacaan berupa novel, buku, majalah, jurnal, dan lain-lain yang dapat mendukung penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa representasi imajinasi anak korban bullying menunjukkan bahwa pelaku bullying diimajinasikan sebagai monster yang mengerikan dan mengancam yang harus dikalahkan. Peneliti menemukan bahwa imajinasi yang direpresentasikan dalam film Bridge to Terabithia sejalan dengan realitas sosial anak-anak korban bullying yang mengungkapkan kegalauannya dengan berimajinasi. Konon tokoh utama dalam film yang menjadi korban bullying tersebut dapat mengatasi bullying yang dialaminya di sekolah melalui imajinasi. Dia akhirnya bisa mendapatkan kembali kepercayaan dirinya di sekolah dan berhasil menghentikan perundungan oleh teman-teman dan kakak kelasnya. |

Inggris) | Film Bridge to Terabithia tells about the phenomenon of bullying by taking the point of view of victims of bullying in overcoming the problems that they experienced, one of them is done by imagination. The purpose of this study is to describe the picture imagination of children who are victims of bullying and explain the role of imagination in coping the bullying problem. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis model. The main research material here is the film Bridge to Terabithia (2007) itself and several reading sources in the form of novels, books, magazines, journals, and others that can support research. The results of this study found that the representation of the imagination of children who were victims of bullying showed that the perpetrators of bullying is imagined as a terrible and threatening monster that must be defeated. The researcher found that the imagination represented in the film Bridge to Terabithia is in line with the social reality of children who are victims of bullying which reveals his confusion with imagination. It is said that the main character in the film is the victim of the bullying can overcome the bullying they experienced at school through imagination. They finally able to regain his confidence in school and managed to stop the act of bullying done by friends and classmates. |
