| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Indonesia memiliki luas laut dan perairan yang mencapai 6,32 juta km2 sehingga hasil perikanan Indonesia seharusnya memliki potensi yang besar khususnya dalam kegiatan ekspor. Maka dari itu penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis daya saing ekspor perikanan Indonesia dan analisis berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai ekspornya. Analisis terhadap daya saing menggunakan perhitungan Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA). Sedangkan analisis faktor-faktor yang digunakan adalah nilai tukar, produk domestik bruto, populasi, dan produksi ikan di negara tujuan ekspor terhadap nilai ekspor perikanan Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel dengan deret waktu sebelas tahun (2010-2020) dan unit cross section sebanyak sepuluh negara. Hasil perhitungan RCA menunjukkan bahwa perikanan Indonesia memiliki daya saing ekspor yang kuat, hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata RCA yang melebihi satu selama periode penelitian. Komoditas ekspor perikanan Indonesia juga menunjukkan keunggulan komparatif di sembilan negara pengimpor terbesar, namun tidak di Thailand. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa produk domestik bruto negara tujuan dan populasi negara tujuan memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap nilai ekspor perikanan Indonesia, sedangkan nilai tukar dan produksi ikan negara tujuan tidak memiliki efek signifikan. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pemerintah Indonesia perlu mengupayakan meningkatkan daya saing ekspor perikanan dengan mendorong faktor-faktor produksi beserta sumber daya IPTEK. Kemudian pemerintah perlu menciptakan situasi yang kondusif dengan mengupayakan kebijakan stabilisasi nilai tukar. Disamping itu, eksportir lokal juga perlu mengupayakan diversifikasi pasar ekspor ke negara lain dengan memperhatikan produk domestik bruto serta jumlah populasi. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Indonesia possesses vast seas and waters spanning 6.32 million km2, which should provide great potential for its fisheries exports. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the export competitiveness of Indonesian fisheries and examine various factors influencing its export value. The analysis of competitiveness employs the calculation of Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA). Meanwhile, the analysis of influencing factors includes exchange rates, gross domestic product, population, and fish production in the export destination countries concerning Indonesia's fisheries exports. This research utilizes panel data with an eleven-year time series (2010-2020) and ten cross-sectional units representing countries. The RCA calculations reveal that Indonesia's fisheries have strong export competitiveness, as evidenced by the average RCA values exceeding one throughout the study period. Indonesian fisheries export commodities also demonstrate comparative advantages in nine of the largest importing countries, except for Thailand. The estimation results indicate that the destination country's gross domestic product and population have a positive influence on the export value of Indonesian fisheries, while exchange rates and fish production in the destination country do not have a significant effect. The implications of this research suggest that the Indonesian government needs to enhance the export competitiveness of its fisheries by promoting production factors and investing in science and technology resources. Additionally, the government should strive to create a conducive environment by pursuing exchange rate stabilization policies. Furthermore, local exporters should diversify their export markets to other countries, taking into account the destination countries' gross domestic product and population. |
