Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Latar Belakang. Usaha peternakan ayam pedaging merupakan usaha yang potensial untuk dikembangkan di Indonesia. Terdapat berbagai macam tipe kandang yang mempengaruhi performans dan pendapatan sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui tipe kandang yang paling menguntungkan. Materi dan Metode. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kandang closed house dan semi closed house yang berbasis kemitraan di Kabupaten Kebumen, Jawa Tengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan analisis performans dan analisis ekonomi. Analisis performans terdiri dari mortalitas, bobot hidup, FCR, dan IP. Analisis ekonomi meliputi perhitungan biaya, penerimaan, break event point (BEP), revenue cost ratio (R/C), rentabilitas, dan payback periode (PP). Hasil. Kandang closed house menghasilkan ayam dengan bobot hidup rata-rata 2,19 kg dengan mortalitas 2,60%, umur panen 33,06 hari, FCR 1,47, dan IP 441,20 sedangkan kandang semi closed house menghasilkan ayam dengan rata-rata bobot hidup 2,11 kg, mortalitas 3,32%, umur panen 32,98 hari, FCR 1,54, dan IP 401,67. Biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh peternak dengan kandang closed house yaitu biaya investasi Rp3.350.000.000, biaya operasional Rp1.759.749.044 menghasilkan penerimaan Rp 1.914.095.484 dengan pendapatan bersih Rp155.460,440, R/C 1,09, BEP harga Rp19.943,14/kg, BEP produk 88.238,33 kg, rentabilitas 3,04% dan payback periode setelah 32,92 periode. Kandang semi closed house memerlukan biaya investasi Rp1.846.196.000, biaya operasional Rp978.982.553 menghasilkan penerimaan sejumlah Rp. 1.028.943.386 dengan pendapatan Rp. 27.460.833, R/C 1,05, BEP harga Rp19.900, BEP produk 50.325,76 kg, rentabilitas 1,78% dan payback periode setelah 56 periode. Simpulan. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa kandang closed house memiliki performa produksi yang lebih baik dan lebih menguntungkan dibandingkan kandang semi closed house.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Background: Broiler chicken farming is a potential business to be developed in Indonesia. There are various types of cages that can affect performance and income, so research is needed to determine the most profitable cage type. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted in closed house and semi closed house systems based on partnerships in Kebumen Regency, Central Java. The research method employed was a case study with performance analysis and economic analysis. Performance analysis included mortality rate, live weight, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and index performance (IP). Economic analysis encompassed cost calculation, revenue, break-even point (BEP), revenue cost ratio (R/C), profitability, and payback period (PP). Results: The closed house system yielded chickens with an average live weight of 2,19 kg, mortality rate of 2,60%, harvest age of 33,06 days, FCR of 1,47, and IP of 441,20. Meanwhile, the semi closed house system produced chickens with an average live weight of 2.11 kg, mortality rate of 3,32%, harvest age of 32,98 days, FCR of 1,54, and IP of 401,67. The closed house system required an investment cost of IDR 3.350.000.000 and the operational costs of IDR 1.759.749.044, resulting in revenue of IDR 1.914.095.484 with a net income of IDR 154.346.440, R/C of 1.09, break-even point price of IDR 19.943,14/kg, break-even point product of 88,238.33 kg, profitability of 3.13%, and payback period after 31.94 periods. The semi closed house system required an investment cost of IDR 1.846.196.000 and operational costs of IDR 978.982.553, generating revenue of IDR 1.028.943.386 with income of IDR 49.960.833, R/C of 1,05, break-even point price of IDR 19.900, break-even point product of 50.325,76 kg, profitability of 1,78%, and payback period after 56 periods. Conclusion: Based on the analysis conducted, it can be concluded that the closed house system has better production performance and is more profitable compared to the semi closed house system.
