| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Sebagai negara hukum yang mengakui kemerdekaan pers sebagai salah satu wujud kedaulatan rakyat, Indonesia memiliki Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 1999 Tentang Pers (selanjutnya disebut UU Pers) yang dibuat untuk mengatur mengenai asas, fungsi, hak, kewajiban dan peranan pers nasional. Keberadaan pers di tengah masyarakat berpotensi menimbulkan permasalahan hukum ketika pemberitaan yang disajikan memuat informasi yang dinilai tidak benar dan merugikan nama baik seseorang atau kelompok tertentu. Untuk mengatasi/mengantisipasi permasalahan tersebut UU Pers juga mengatur tentang mekanisme hak jawab. Penelitian ini akan menganalisa bagaimana implementasi hak jawab yang dilakukan di Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) di Purwokerto sebagai salah satu jenis media massa yang berperan menyampaikan pesan (berita, informasi dan hiburan) kepada masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah yuridis sosiologis dengan penelitian deskriptif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah data primer dan sekunder. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari Budi selaku Kepala Stasiun Radio, Indah selaku Koordinator Seksi Pemberitaan, dan Fajar selaku Koordinator Seksi Layanan dan Pengembangan dari RRI Purwokerto, implementasi hak jawab di RRI Purwokerto sudah terlaksana sesuai dengan Pasal 5 ayat (2) UU Pers dengan diprosesnya pengajuan hak jawab yang diterima oleh RRI Purwokerto, Meskipun terdapat beberapa kendala baik secara internal dan eksternal dalam sepenuhnya mengimplementasikan hak jawab di RRI Purwokerto. |

Inggris) | As a legal state that recognizes press freedom as one of the manifestations of people's sovereignty, Indonesia has Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press (hereinafter referred to as the Press Law) which was made to regulate the principles, functions, rights, obligations and role of the national press. The existence of the press in the community has the potential to cause legal problems when the news presented contains information that is considered untrue and detrimental to the good name of a person or group. To overcome/anticipate these problems, the Press Law also regulates the right of reply mechanism. This research will analyze how the implementation of the right of reply is carried out at Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) in Purwokerto as one type of mass media whose role is to convey messages (news, information and entertainment) to the public. The research method used is juridical sociological with descriptive research. The data used in the research are primary and secondary data. Based on the research results obtained from Budi as the Head of the Radio Station, Indah as the Reporting Section Coordinator, and Fajar as the Service and Development Section Coordinator from RRI Purwokerto, the implementation of the right of reply at RRI Purwokerto has been implemented in accordance with Article 5 paragraph (2) of the Press Law by processing the submission of the right of reply received by RRI Purwokerto, although there are several obstacles both internally and externally in fully implementing the right of reply at RRI Purwokerto.
