| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) adalah penyakit sindrom pernapasan pada manusia yang disebabkan oleh Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Hingga saat ini, pengobatan COVID-19 yang efektif belum ditemukan. Metilprednisolon merupakan kortikosteroid yang dapat digunakan pada terapi COVID-19 derajat berat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat efek terapeutik penggunaan metilprednisolon pada pasien COVID-19. Metodologi: Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif observasional dengan metode pengambilan data secara retrospektif yang dilakukan dengan mengambil data rekam medis pasien COVID-19 rawat inap di RSUD Dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga periode Oktober 2020 hingga September 2021 dengan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan total sampling. Analisis statistik dilakukan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan Sign Test digunakan untuk melihat efek terapeutik metilprednisolon terhadap parameter suhu, RR, SpO2, demam, batuk, dan sesak pada pasien COVID-19. Hasil Penelitian: Sebanyak 132 pasien memenuhi kriteria inklusi dengan rincian 87 pasien dengan tingkat keparahan ringan, 22 pasien dengan tingkat keparahan sedang, dan 23 pasien dengan tingkat keparahan berat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat efek terapi penggunaan metilprednisolon pada pasien COVID-19 pada parameter RR, SpO2, batuk, dan sesak napas pasien dengan tingkat keparahan ringan, terdapat efek terapi penggunaan metilprednisolon terhadap gejala klinis pada parameter SpO2, suhu, dan batuk pasien tingkat keparahan sedang, dan terdapat efek terapi penggunaan metilprednisolon terhadap gejala klinis parameter RR, SpO2, suhu, dan sesak napas pada pasien tingkat keparahan berat. Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metilprednisolon terhadap gejala klinis pasien COVID-19 periode Oktober 2020–September 2021 di Rumah Sakit Goeteng Taroenadibrata. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) is a respiratory syndrome disease in humans caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV 2). Until now, treatment for COVID-19 has not been found. Methylprednisolone is corticosteroid that can be used in treatment of COVID-19 with severe severity. This study aims to see whether there is an therapeutic effect on the use of methylprednisolone in COVID-19 patients. Methodology: This research is a descriptive observational study with a retrospective data collection method which was carried out by taking medical records of inpatient COVID-19 patients at Dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga Hospital from October 2020 to September 2021, with data collection done through total sampling. Statistical analysis using Wilcoxon and Sign Test was used to examine the therapeutics effect of methylprednisolone on parameters such as temperature, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, fever, cough, and shortness of breath in COVID-19 patients. Results: A total of 132 patients met the inclusion criteria, with details of 87 patients with mild severity, 22 patients with moderate severity, and 23 patients with severe severity. The results of the analysis showed that there was a therapeutic effect of using methylprednisolone in COVID-19 patients on the parameters RR, SpO2, cough, and shortness of breath in patients with mild severity, there was an effect of using methylprednisolone therapy on clinical symptoms of parameters SpO2, temperature, and cough in patients with moderate severity, and there is a therapeutic effect of using methylprednisolone on clinical symptoms of parameters RR, SpO2, temperature, and shortness of breath in patients with severe severity. Conclusion: There is an effect of using methylprednisolone on clincal symptoms of COVID-19 patients for the period October 2020-September 2021 at Goeteng Taroenadibrata Hospital. |
