Indonesia) | Fase inflamasi merupakan fase penting dalam penyembuhan luka insisi gingiva di mana limfosit mengeluarkan limfokin yang berperan mengeliminasi jejas dan agen antigen pemicu terhambatnya penyembuhan luka. Aloe vera telah dilaporkan mengandung bahan aktif acemannan, Aloesin, anthraquinone, dan flavonoid yang berpotensi mempersingkat periode inflamasi pada penyembuhan luka insisi gingiva. Albumen telur memiliki kandungan ovalbumin yang diduga memiliki peran dalam perlekatan sel serta diduga dapat mempersingkat periode inflamasi. Kombinasi Wound healing sheet (WHS) ekstrak Aloe vera dan albumen telur ayam kampung diharapkan mampu menjadi alternatif penyembuhan luka insisi pada gingiva. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian WHS ekstrak Aloe vera dan albumen telur ayam kampung terhadap jumlah limfosit pada proses penyembuhan luka insisi gingiva. Jenis penelitian eksperimental laboratoris dengan post test-only control group design. Sebanyak 24 ekor tikus jantan (Rattus norvegicus) galur Wistar dengan gingiva yang telah diinsisi dan dibagi menjadi empat kelompok, yaitu P1 (WHS konsentrasi 50%), P2 (WHS konsentrasi 100%), KP (kontrol positif perlakuan suturing), serta KN (kontrol negatif tanpa perlakuan). Perlakuan dilakukan selama tujuh hari dan pengamatan jumlah limfosit dilakukan pada preparat histologi jaringan gingiva. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan One-way ANOVA dilanjutkan dengan Post Hoc LSD. Hasil menunjukkan jumlah limfosit pada kelompok P1, P2, KP, dan KN berturut-turut adalah 6,6 ± 1,63; 4,0 ± 0,89; 10 ± 0,89; 12 ± 1,55. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (p<0,05) antar kelompok. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh pemberian WHS ekstrak Aloe vera dan albumen telur ayam terhadap penurunan jumlah limfosit pada luka insisi gingiva. |

Inggris) | Inflammatory phase is one of the important phases in the healing of gingival incision wounds, where lymphocytes secrete lymphokines which play a role in eliminating injury and antigen-triggering agents. Aloe vera has been reported to contain acemannan, aloesin, anthraquinone, and flavonoids which have potential to shorten the inflammatory period in wound healing. Albumen contains ovalbumin which is considered to have a role in cell attachment and to shorten the inflammatory period as well. Aloe vera extract based wound healing sheet (WHS) combined with free-range chicken albumen is expected to be an alternative treatment for wound healing of gingival incisions. This study aimed to investigate the effect of administration of WHS and free-range chicken albumen on the number of lymphocytes in the gingival incision wound. Experimental laboratory research with a posttest-only control group design was conducted in 24 male rats (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain with an incised gingiva, divided into four groups, namely P1 (50% WHS concentration), P2 (100% WHS concentration), KP (positive control with suturing), KC (negative control without treatment). The treatment was carried out for 7 days, followed with histological observation of the number of lymphocytes in gingival tissue samples. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using One-way ANOVA and Post Hoc LSD. Study results showed the number of lymphocytes in P1, P2, KP, and KN were 6.6 ± 1.63; 4.0±0.89; 10 ± 0.89; 12±1.55, respectively. Statistical analysis results showed significant differences (p<0.05) between groups. The conclusion of this study is that there was an effect of WHS administration of Aloe vera extract and chicken albumen on the decrease of the number of lymphocytes in gingival incision wound. |
