| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Bank sampah merupakan pengembangan konsep pengelolaan sampah di Indonesia dengan metode 3R (reuse, reduce, recycle). Bekasi Utara merupakan kecamatan dengan tingkat penduduk tertinggi di Kota Bekasi. Pengelolaan sampah di Kota Bekasi masih jauh dari kata maksimal, sampai saat ini Kota Bekasi masih dijadikan sebagai penyangga kota Jakarta sehingga dalam hal ini terus muncul masalah lingkungan. Dalam sehari sebanyak 800 ton sampah tidak terangkut ke tempat pembuangan akhir sampah (TPAS) sumur batu dari total 1.800 ton sampah yang dihasilkan masyarakat. Program bank sampah jika dikelola dengan baik dapat mengelola sampah anorganik sebesar 11.156,14 kg/bulan dan sampah organik sebesar 200,64 kg/hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan partisipasi masyarakat dalam program bank sampah di Kecamatan Bekasi Utara Kota Bekasi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross Sectional. Populasi penelitian ini rumah tangga yang terdaftar kartu keluarga dalam kecamatan Bekasi utara sampel diambil sebanyak 178 sampel, dengan menggunakan Teknik Doublestage random sampling. Data dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil Penelitian: Terdapat tiga variabel yang berhubungan dengan partisipasi masyarakat dalam program bank sampah yaitu ketersediaan fasilitas pemilahan sampah (p-value = 0,003), perilaku memilah sampah p-value = 0,003), dukungan tokoh masyarakat (p-value = 0,001). Didapatkan tiga variabel tidak berhubungan dengan partisipasi masyarakat dalam program bank sampah yaitu tingkat Pendidikan (p-value = 0,073), Pengetahuan pengelolaan sampah (p-value = 0,602), sikap masyarakat tentang bank sampah (p-value = 0,158). Tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam program bank sampah masih sangat rendah dimana hanya 21,3% masyarakat yang sudah berpartisipasi dengan baik. Simpulan: Variabel yang berhubungan dengan partisipasi masyarakat dalam program bank sampah adalah variabel ketersediaan fasilitas pemilahan sampah, perilaku memilah sampah, dan dukungan tokoh masyarakat dalam memotivasi dan mengajak masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi dalam program bank sampah. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: The waste bank is a development of the concept of waste management in Indonesia with the 3R method (reuse, reduce, recycle). North Bekasi is a district with the highest population level in Bekasi City. Waste management in Bekasi City is still far from optimal, until now Bekasi City is still used as a buffer for the city of Jakarta so that in this case environmental problems continue to arise. In a day as much as 800 tons of waste are not transported to the Sumur Batu landfill out of a total of 1,800 tons of waste produced by the community. The waste bank program if managed properly can manage inorganic waste of 11,156.14 kg/month and organic waste of 200.64 kg/day. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to community participation in the waste bank program in North Bekasi District, Bekasi City. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study was households registered with family cards in North Bekasi sub-district 178 samples, using a multistage random sampling technique. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate. Results: Bivariate analysis using the Chi Square test, there are three variables related to community participation in the waste bank program, namely the availability of waste sorting facilities (p-value = 0,003), waste sorting behavior (p-value = 0,003), support from community leaders (p-value = 0,001). There were also three variables not related to community participation in the waste bank program, education level (p-value = 0,073), knowledge of waste management (p-value = 0,602), community attitudes about waste banks (p-value = 0,158). The level of community participation in the waste bank program is still very low where only 21.3% of the community has participated properly. Conclusion: Variables related to community participation in the waste bank program are the availability of waste sorting facilities, waste sorting behavior, and the support of community leaders in motivating and inviting the community to participate in the waste bank program.
