| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Salah satu penyakit kulit yang sering terjadi pada remaja dan dewasa adalah acne vulgaris atau yang biasa disebut dengan jerawat. Prevalensi penderita jerawat di Indonesia berkisar 80-85% pada remaja dengan puncak insiden pada usia 15-18 tahun, 12% pada wanita usia > 25 tahun dan 3% pada usia 35-44 tahun. Daun sirih hijau mengandung flavonoid dan terpenoid sebagai antibakteri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh pada konsentrasi formulasi ekstrak etanol daun sirih hijau terhadap sifat fisik sediaan sabun cair dan mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri pada formulasi sabun cair ekstrak etanol daun sirih hijau terhadap bakteri P.acnes. Sediaan sabun cair dibuat dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak daun sirih hijau 1,5%, 3%, dan 5%. Formula diuji aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi sumuran dibandingkan dengan kontrol negatif berupa basis sabun cair dan kontrol positif berupa sediaan krim eritromisin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan variasi konsentrasi ekstak daun sirih hijau menunjukkan peningkatan nilai pH, viskositas, tinggi busa, dan bobot jenis, namun menunjukkan penurunan pada nilai pH sediaan sabun cair ekstrak etanol daun sirih hijau. Formula III (5%) merupakan formula yang paling tinggi menghasilkan diameter zona hambat antibakteri terhadap P.acnes yaitu sebesar 18,00 mm. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | One of the skin diseases that often occurs in adolescents and adults is acne vulgaris. The prevalence of acne sufferers in Indonesia ranges from 80-85% in adolescents with a peak incidence at the age of 15-18 years, 12% women aged > 25 years and 3% in the age of 35-44 years.Green betel leaves contain flavonoids and terpenoids as antibacterial. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the concentration of the ethanol extract of green betel leaf formulation on the physical properties of liquid soap preparations and to determine the antibacterial activityof the formulation of green betel leaf extract liquid soap against P.acnes. Liquid soap preparations were made with various concentrations of green betel leaf extract of 1.5%, 3% and 5%.Formula was tested for antibacterial activity using the well diffusion method compared to the negative control and positive control eritromisin. the result show concentration of green betle leaves extract showed an increase in the pH value, viscosity, foam height, and specific gravity, but showed a decrease in the pH value of the green betel leaf ethanol extract liquid soap preparation Formula III (5%) is the formula that produces the highest diameter of the antibacterial inhibition zone against P.acnes, which is 18.00 mm. |
