| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Yayasan EduFarmers International bekerja sama dengan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi untuk menyelenggarakan program Bertani Untuk Negeri (BUN). Kegiatan utama dalam program Bertani Untuk Negeri salah satunya adalah sekolah lapang. Sekolah lapang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kompetensi peternak sehingga dapat meningkatkan index performance ayam broiler. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2021 - Januari 2022 di kabupaten Blitar, Jawa Timur. Sasaran kegiatan magang adalah peternak dampingan sebanyak 12 peternak. Data primer didapatkan dari kuesioner dan data sekunder didapatkan dari dokumentasi PT Ciomas Adisatwa. Analisis data menggunakan uji t untuk membandingkan pengetahuan maupun kompetensi peternak sebelum dan sesudah sekolah lapang. Analisis korelasi digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara peningkatan pengetahuan dan kompetensi peternak dengan nilai index performance ayam broiler. Hasil magang menunjukan bahwa adanya perbedaan yang nyata pada pengetahuan peternak, kompetensi peternak, serta index performance peternakan setelah diadakannya sekolah lapang. Nilai korelasi antara pengetahuan peternak dan kompetensi peternak terhadap index performance sebesar 0,777. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu adanya sekolah lapang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan serta kompetensi peternak yang akhirnya dapat meningkatkan index performance ayam broiler di kandang peternak dampingan. Peningkatan pengetahuan peternak sebesar 38,33% dan kompetensi peternak sebesar 30,99% setelah adanya sekolah lapang. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The EduFarmers International Foundation is working with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to organize the Bertani Untuk Negeri (BUN) program. One of the main activities in the Farming for the Country program is a field school. The field school aimed to increase the knowledge and competence of farmers so as to increase the broiler index performance. The activity will be held in October 2021 - January 2022 in the Blitar district, East Java. The target of the apprenticeship activity is 12 assisted farmers. Primary data was obtained from questionnaires and secondary data was obtained from PT Ciomas Adisatwa documentation. Data analysis used the t test to compare the knowledge and competence of farmers before and after the field school. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between the increase in farmer skills and the index performance value of broiler chickens. The results of the apprenticeship showed that there were significant differences in farmer knowledge, farmer competence, and livestock index performance after the field school was held. The correlation value between farmer knowledge and farmer competency on the index performance was 0.777. The conclusion obtained is that the existence of field schools could increase the knowledge and competence of farmers which can ultimately increase the index performance of broiler chickens in the pens of assisted farmers. The increase in farmer knowledge was 38.33% and farmer competence was 30.99% after field school. |
