| Judul Artikel | THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EFFERVESCENT SUPPLEMENTATION OF Chlorella vulgaris ON HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS OF MICE (Mus musculus) |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | The body's immunity is needed to fight various diseases, one of which is by consuming immunostimulants. Chlorella vulgaris contains provitamin A (β carotene), vitamin C, vitamin E, and CGF, potentially used as natural immunostimulants. C. vulgaris can be applied as effervescent tablets to improve drug absorption and mask the taste. This study aims to determine the effect of giving effervescent tablets of C. vulgaris as an immunostimulant by testing the leukocyte levels of mice (Mus musculus). The research method was an experimental, completely randomized design (CRD) with six treatments, each consisting of three replications. Eight weeks old male mice, 20 ± 5 g body weight, were given effervescent C. vulgaris for 14 consecutive days. Powder concentration of C. vulgaris Control 0%, P1 7%, P2 15%, P3 30%, P4 35%, and P5 50% was administered once a day. Count the number of leukocytes in mice (Mus musculus). The results showed that the administration of effervescent C. vulgaris could increase the amount of haemoglobin, the best indicated by the P4 group (35% C. vulgaris), which was 12.67 ± 0.40 g/dl. C. vulgaris effervescent tablets are potential as immunostimulants. |
