| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Artikel hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan mendeskripsikan kritik dan protes atas rasisme dalam Musik Video “This Is America”. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan semiotika dalam bingkai perspektif pascastrukturalisme dan paradigma non-positivisme. hasil penelitian tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa kritik atas rasisme dalam musik video “This Is America” dapat ditelusuri melalui film, seperti yang terdapat dalam musik video “This Is America”. Selain itu, hasil penelitian tersebut juga membuktikan bahwa rasisme dalam musik video “This Is America” merepresentasikan kritik atas rasisme di Amerika Serikat. Melalui adegan pilihan yang menjadi sasaran penelitian dalam penelitian tersebut, maka rasisme di Amerika Serikat masih serint terjadi sampai hari ini dengan bentuk-bentuk baru. Rasisme adalah hasil dari kolonialisme yang terus hidup dan berkembang hingga era pascakolonial. Dalam musik video “This Is America” rasisme ditampilkan dalam bingkai media yang selalu menutup-nutupi realitas yang ada dengan konsumerisme dan hal-hal entertain lainnya. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research article aims to understand and describe the criticism and protests against racism in the music video "This Is America". By using qualitative methods and semiotic approaches within the perspective of post-structuralism and non-positivism paradigms. the results of the study revealed that criticism of racism in the music video for "This Is America" can be traced through films, as contained in the music video for "This Is America". In addition, the results of this study also prove that racism in the music video for "This Is America" represents criticism of racism in the United States. Through the selected scenes which are the research targets in this study, racism in the United States still occurs frequently to this day with new forms. Racism is the result of colonialism which continues to live and develop into the postcolonial era. In the music video "This Is America" racism is displayed in a media frame that always covers up the existing reality with consumerism and other entertainment matters. |
