| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Hidroksiapatit merupakan salah satu biomaterial yang digunakan untuk implant tulang dan pengganti jaringan tubuh. Mineral kalsium fosfat yang dimiliki oleh hidroksiapatit digunakan dalam pengikatan jaringan tulang manusia. Sintesis hidroksiapatit dalam penelitian ini berbahan cangkang kerang darah (Anadara Granosa) menggunakan metode presipitasi dengan variasi waktu 0 jam dan 48 jam dengan prekursor Ca(OH)2 dan H3PO4. Karakterisasi untuk menentukan struktur dan ukuran kristal dilakukan uji X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) dan menentukan gugus fungsi dilakukan uji Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR). Serbuk hidroksiapatit memiliki struktur heksagonal dan ukuran kristalin variasi waktu pengendapan 0 jam dan 48 jam berturut-turut ialah 22,34 dan 28,11 nm. Pengujian FTIR menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi yang terbentuk pada hidroksiapatit. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa serbuk hidroksiapatit dengan metode presipitasi baik untuk mengikat jaringan tulang manusia sehingga cocok dijadikan sebagai kandidat biomaterial atau pengganti tulang manusia. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Hydroxyapatite is one of the biomaterials used for bone implants and body tissue replacement. The mineral calcium phosphate which is owned by hydroxyapatite is used in the binding of human bone tissue. The synthesis of hydroxyapatite in this study was made from blood clam shells (Anadara Granosa) using the precipitation method with variations of 0 hours and 48 hours with precursors Ca(OH)2 and H3PO4. Characterization to determine crystal structure and size was carried out by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) test and to determine functional groups by Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR) test. Hydroxyapatite powder has a hexagonal structure and crystalline size with variations in deposition time of 0 hours and 48 hours, respectively 22.34 and 28.11 nm with a degree of crystallinity of 4.71% and 15.65%. Lattice strain of hydroxyapatite powder with 0.0188% and 0.0034% deposition time of 0 hours and 0.0034% for 48 hours. FTIR testing showed that the functional groups formed were PO43-, OH-, and CO32- at wave number 563.21; 3448.72 and 717.52 cm-1 both variations of deposition time. This group identifies the presence of hydroxyapatite. The functional groups of PO43- and CO32- of both variations experienced a shift, so that the force constant values of PO43- for variations of 0 hours and 48 hours were 457.15 and 442.14 N/m-1. Meanwhile, the functional group force constant values of CO32- for the variation of 0 hours and 48 hours were 831.63 and 820.30 N/m-1. From the results of the study it can be concluded that hydroxyapatite powder using the precipitation method is good for binding to human bone tissue so that it is suitable as a biomaterial candidate or a substitute for human bone. |
